Yup. You studied that in grade 5 and your child studies it in grade 3 now.
The most important things are generally taught in the lower classes which we forget as we move to higher classes studying less important things.
Carbs , fats and proteins ( albeit destroyed), you get aplenty in your home made preparations. But how many of you have fruit on your menu everyday ? At least one fruit a day ? Do you have fruit on your child's menu at least ?
No ? Then start doing it from Today. Give your child one fruit every morning--whatever is available in the season. You can give it in the form of milk shake if your child doesn't like eating it. Every child loves fruit milkshakes.
You spend hours in the kitchen everyday preparing all kinds of foods for your children--fried , roasted, cooked-- and then stuff them up with it. And yet it doesn't help your child from falling sick or developing deficiency states. The carbs and proteins which you give your child gives him energy and builds his body. But it does not prevent him from falling sick. He needs vitamins for that. So you must essentially give him fruit.
Instead of sweating it out in the kitchen every morning for three hours preparing stuff with destroyed proteins and dripping in oils laden heavily with omega 6 and trans fats , and then spending the next one hour bullying your child into eating it , just give him a glass of milk with a fruit blended in it. And give him a boiled egg or a couple of them. Its a great breakfast. Your child will get carbs, proteins, and vitamins. And he will eat it in no time without any fuss. And it saves you a hell of a time in the mornings. For lunch, you can pack him some sandwiches with veggies ( and non veg if you like) . It will give him proteins , minerals and carbs again . Give him a couple of oranges too. Helps build immunity. You can save the sweating in the kitchen for dinner.
Wake up people. You find children falling sick every few days. Instead of thinking of ways to keep them from falling sick, most parents and people have simply developed an insensitivity to it. " Oh all children fall sick. " " Its natural for children to fall sick". " Falling sick is a part of childhood"..........................this is the attitude when children fall sick.
It is actually our adult thinking and adult attitudes that have become sick. We don't want to read. We don't want to think. We don't even wanna know better ways to take care of our kids. We no longer care. Children are like a pain in our neck. We are just waiting for them to grow up so we can throw them out of our lives on some pretext or the other. If its a girl child, marriage is a nice excuse to kick her out of the house.
