In urdu, we simply say , " Namaz padho". And in English, we say "offer prayers".
But the words used in the Qur'an are " Aqeem us Salah". Meaning " Namaz Qayam karo" . Or in English, " Establish the Connection"
"Establish the connection between you and HIM. or Arrive at the connection between you and Him."
The Arabic word Salah has many meanings as with other Arabic words. Supplication, prayer, worship.........etc all mean salah. Here's one more meaning of the word "salah" .
Salah comes from the Arabic word "wasalah" which means " to connect" or " to arrive ( at a connection) ". ( The term waseela comes from wasala.)
We generally experience this connection for a short while when we stand for Salah/prayers. After that, the connection breaks.
But when a person's pineal gland ( crown chakra )--also known as the Seat of illumination or Seat of the Soul or Extension of the Third Eye ( pituitary gland)--activates , the person feels a Divine Connection Established 24/7 and not just when he stands for Salah. This is also called Unity Consciousness. The connection not only establishes with the Divine , but with the Divine essence in every human and all matter around him uniting him with everyone and everything around.
This generally is the case with Prophets and Sahaba and Auliya. After years of worship, they are blessed with the activation of their pineal gland--and thence forth they experience a connection established night and day with the Divine even when they dont stand for Salah.
