Water accounts for up to 60% of our bodies, and so it's really no surprise that moon energy affects us. Just as the moon commands the tides, so too does it influence our lives. Learning how to align with lunar cycles is an amazing way to mindfully harness this power and use it to expand your life.

If there's something personal or work-related you feel like you're fighting, tapping into the moon phases might give you a greater sense of ease. Work with nature's natural flow instead of against it.

What is a lunar cycle?

Each month, over the course of about 28 days, the moon goes from completely invisible to full, and then back to invisible again. As the Earth rotates around the sun, the moon revolves around the Earth. We humans can only see the portion of the moon lit by the sun.

The start of each lunar cycle is called a new moon. Then the moon appears to increase in size in the sky as the days go by. This growth phase is known as waxing — the moon stays the same size the entire time, only the portion lit by the sun and view able on Earth changes.

Even though the moon looks full for several days, it's technically full for just a few seconds.

After the full moon, comes the waning lunar phase. During this time, the visible moon slowly shrinks until it's invisible again. Then, the new moon comes and the cycle begins again.

The new and full moon energies last for a few days before and after the main event.

This is a time of setting intentions. The time is ripe for evaluating your life and thinking about what you want to build or how you want to grow.


Maybe you want to welcome more fun, travel, or adventure in your life. Maybe you want to make room for self-care.

Or maybe your goals relate to work or professional success. Perhaps you want to write a book, or expand or start a business.


The new moon's energy is a wonderful time for visualizing, setting intentions, and gathering energy for the coming work at hand. This dark passive time isn't good for action, but more planning, dreaming and visualizing.


Be careful what you set an intention for! The universe will often give you trials designed to help you  embrace whatever quality you desire.

Waxing Moon >>>

As the moon appears to increase in size, energy builds and the time to act comes. Think of your intention and take strategic steps forward to begin materializing your desires.


Of course, synchronizing  effort with the lunar cycle doesn't guarantee success. Sometimes, obstacles or feelings may arise to highlight where we need to let go or heal.


Often when we have trouble welcoming something into our lives, an internal shift is needed. Change begins from within. In yoga, it's said that all obstacles are in the mind. In modern terms, this means that inner development comes before outward shifts.


It's not that outer success makes you successful, but inner success makes you outwardly successful. Loving outer relationships don't make a person loving, but a loving person cultivates loving relationships.


The active waxing moon is a time to notice all the inner obstacles so you can heal them later on, when the moon goes dark and passive once again.

Full Moon >>>
At the lunar climax, the height of energy when the gorgeous moon illuminates the whole night sky, there's a lot of energy circulating. You may have trouble sleeping, and people might act a little crazy. It's all good though — breathe it all in and love it all out.


The full moon is a time of letting go. For a full moon ceremony, identify something you're ready to release , and set aside time to meditate while absorbing the energy around you.


This is the time when the universe takes over and we need to have faith that the seeds we planted will grow into things that are beautiful, vibrant, and alive.


Forward movement happens in small incremental steps, and synchronizing to lunar cycles helps us embrace the natural rhythm of life, decreasing burnout by taking advantage of natural opportunities to rest and restore during the more passive, dark moon phase to follow.

Waning Moon >>>
As the visible moon starts to shrink — a phase also known as the dark moon — so does our energy. It's time to relax more, act less.


If any areas requiring healing came up during the waxing moon, now would be a good time to do the internal work. Journal, meditate, and ask your higher self for help working through your internal wounds.


As the lunar cycle draws to a close, it's a good idea to start thinking of intentions for the next moon phase. Take your time with the waning moon phase, though. Don't rush to the next phase without properly processing the lessons currently presenting themselves to you.


Feelings, emotions, hard times. These are gifts the universe gives us so we can better understand it and ourselves. We go through obstacles so we can learn compassion and develop personal power. Of course, some waning moons are cause for celebration as our hard work pays off and we enjoy the bounty!





EASE TEETHING IN BABIES WITH AMBER.

See those  black and brown beads round the babies neck ?  Yeah we've come across them often on babies.  Sometimes the beads are black, sometimes brown, orange-yellow,   and sometimes white .  Sometimes a black or a white pearl is also used.  

We--the smart  generation educated in modern colleges and universities thought our elders and ancestors were highly superstitious and so they put those beads around babies to ward off evil or they are simply remnants of an outdated fashion which our elders just don't wanna let go.  

Well , it turns out our elders and ancestors were actually wise and we are the stupid generation that does not know the healing effects of gemstones and crystals.  Well, not our fault either I guess..........after all they don't teach us all this in the schools and colleges. 

The brown and black beads put around a baby's neck or ankles are actually AMBER beads.

 Amber happens to be a fossilised resin that history says  has been used for centuries in Europe to help ease teething in babies............. and for more than 8 centuries in India too..... (ever since the Europeans first invaded india..........).......... , and right now its Australia and Australian moms  swearing by the healing effects of Amber in helping their babies' sprout teeth easily.  

Teething , in a majority of  babies , is generally associated with considerable amount of discomfort--low grade fever,  mild diarrhoea,  itching,  little pain sometimes , swelling of the gums, loss of appetite, loss of sleep etc which makes babies  restless , irritable and uncomfortable.  

Researchers are still not sure as to why exactly teething is associated with these problems . While some say its production of acidic saliva and excessive saliva during teething that leads to diarrhoea,  some say its the itching in the gums that makes the baby pick up things and put it in his mouth leading to all kinds of infections. 

True baltic amber is said to not only help ease teething but also heal many a health problems in both babies and adults.  Amber is especially used for diabetics--both children and adults-- to stimulate the pancreas--the solar plexus chakra--and aid in digestion.  So next time ur baby's teething, you can try amber.  Its not a stone, ( though it looks like one and so its sold along with gemstones) so its not very expensive either. 

While there's always exceptions and some mother's say they did not find amber particularly helpful...........still there's no harm in trying.  All crystals in this world are found to have some beneficial effect or the other.

IMPORTANT NOTE :  Baby should be under supervision when the beads are put around his neck.  He shouldn't pull and tug at the necklace and strangulate or choke himself.  In the night,  remove the beads and tie it to his ankles.   Make sure each bead is knotted properly in the necklace so that the individual beads do not come out easily even if the necklace breaks so the baby cannot put them in his mouth and choke himself. 




Pearl is yet another gemstone that is used to heal the solar plexus and the sacral chakras in both-- children and adults.  The energies of the pearl are said to be soothing and calming.  It calms an anxious mind and it calms a rebellious or a troubled child. 

( Have you ever noticed ppl wearing pearls behave in an undignified manner ?  Pearl denotes faith, trust, innocence, purity, elegance, dignity, calm and peace.  Pearls are especially for children and maidens  more than adults.  Pearl happens to be the birthstone of those born in the month of june-july--geminis and cancerians. Cancerians especially are quick to absorb the energies of the pearl. )  

Pearls stimulate the pancreas and help in digestion problems in babies. 
Besides amber,  there's the modern remedies  available too to help soothe swollen gums and itching gums in babies--the most widely used is  teething rings.  Refrigerate the rings before giving them to the babies. The cold rings soothe the gums when the baby puts them in his mouth.  

There's teething gels and lotions  too ,  but read enough about their effects and side effects before you buy them. 

Above all, keep the baby and his surroundings and the floor on which the baby sits neat and clean.  And provide  the baby with clean things to chew on.

You can go thru various websites that offer home remedies for teething.  Pick out the best , the safest and the most widely used home remedies.It takes some effort , but it will also bring you a lot of relief once you find a solution to your child's problem.  Good mothers/parents never rest until they find a solution to their child's problem.  Weak mothers simply throw up their hands and say "oh it happens to every baby.  So nothing can be done about it!"  And bad mothers simply turn their faces away even after the solution has been thrust right under their noses and don't care a damn about the problems of their children.

Remember, for every ailment in this world, there is a solution.  And for problems such as this one that existed right from the time mankind existed on this earth,  there's bound to be solutions discovered by different ppl at different points of time in history.  All you have to do is look for them.   The greatest of thinkers, researchers and scientists existed in the olden days as compared to modern times. 


And if you happen to be a Muslim,  here is one more thing you can do to help ease teething in your babies:  

Feed children ( as many as you can/like/wish to ) with the intention in your heart that the reward of this charity be dedicated to Hazrat Owais Al Qarni ( r.a.).  

 Owais Qarni (ra) was the Sahabi of Prophet Muhammad(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) who had knocked out all his teeth in his love for the Holy Prophet when he came to know that one of the Prophet's teeth was martyred in the battle of Uhud.   Owais Al Qarni (ra) had not even met the Prophet in his life , but when he heard that the Prophet lost one of his tooth in the battle ,  the Sahabi knocked out all of his own not knowing which tooth the Holy Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) had lost.  

It is believed that if you feed children and pray to Allah to dedicate the reward of this charity to  Owais Qarni (ra),  your baby's teeth will sprout easily.  You can feed them anything--  simply fruit or a complete meal or whatever you like.

So if you have a teething baby,   you can try it unless you happen to belong to the stupid and the most ignorant sects of Muslims who believe that no reward of any good deed  ever reaches the dead..............or the sect that questions all the time,  "where is written in the Qur'an and where is it written in the hadeeth? !!"  Well , you can't help them.  They and their children are destined to suffer at every step in their lives.

There is one more way out.  But it is tedious.  You must write Surah Qaf (chapter 50 of the Qur'an) with saffron on a piece of paper and then wash it into a vessel and then rinse the baby's mouth with the water.  You can try it if you baby's having real trouble with his teething.

You can also go thru the net to find out any special duas or wazifas to aid in teething.  And fwd to to others too.

P.S.  Caution :  Every time something happens to your baby, don't simply sit back and take it easy thinking your baby is teething.   The baby could be suffering something else and may be really sick.   If at all the symptoms are because of teething,   then just remember a tooth must sprout within 24-72 hours after these symptoms begin and the symptoms don't continue for days and weeks on end.   If they do, then its probably something else and not teething. 

Drive away suffering with the light of knowledge.  There's children being born in every home and children suffering in every home.  Teething goes on for a period of nearly two years and children keep suffering on and off every time a tooth sprouts.

SIGNIFICANCE OF DUROOD.

Every heart --good or bad, soft or hard,  selfless or selfish,  loving or hating, humble or proud-- can stand for salah and recite the  Koran.

But ONLY a NOBLE heart can bless another.   ONLY a NOBLE soul can bless another.  Only a NOBLE person can send/invoke blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

Durood is not released easily from a hard, bad, wicked or a selfish heart . Only a noble heart is able to release the blessing easily.

And vice versa, if you are bad , but you force yourself to recite durood,  then inturn,  it ennobles  you.  It ennobles your heart as well as  your mind.   It ennobles your thought.  It makes your thinking noble.   That is why the gnostics ( the ones who know God and who are the best of the  learned among us today) always stress on durood.   And it is for the same reason that the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) also stressed so much on durood after Salah and Koran.  

If you are one who offers salah and recites the Koran respectfully, then it should direct you / guide you towards durood.  And if you are one who simply recites durood, it will direct you / guide you towards salah and Koran and noble thinking.    
Salah,  Koran, all the books of Hadeeth AND  DUROOD.   These are the four things the person belonging to the right sect  believes in.  If he or she thinks even one of them is unnecessary or less important , then he or she cannot belong to the right sect.    

If you are of the right sect,  then you have to be of Noble thought.  Think right and think noble in everything.  That was the Prophet's (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) thinking.

DUROOD PROTECTS YOUR THOUGHTS :

When you send blessings on the Prophet(pbuh), your own thoughts are protected from the Devil.  But when you don't send blessings on the Prophet,  then your thoughts are no longer protected and you end up misinterpreting things even from the most guided source as the  Qur'an.  That is why always send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) before and after you read or recite the Koran so that you are not misguided and don't misinterpret things in it.

As such Durood can be sent up on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) anytime during day and night everyday.............but here are some times in your everyday life  when you should essentially send durood on the Prophet so you are guided better:

Send blessings on the Prophet(pbuh) in your 5 prayers everyday. (after you say the shahadah. Its the correct sunni way. )

Send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) before and after you recite or read or ponder over the Koran. 
Send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) before and after you read any Koranic tafseers or hadeeth books.  It will keep your thoughts guided as you read and help you arrive at the right conclusions and the right understandings.

When you offer  your 5 prayers everyday and recite Surat al Fatiha in it seeking guidance,  Allah either guides you towards a source of knowledge like the Koran or hadeeth or other books or ppl............ , or directs a source towards you.   But how much guidance  you actually pick up from that source depends on how much blessings you send on the Prophet(pbuh).  Invoke any blessing you like, but invoke blessings on him.

Send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) whenever your thoughts are confused or unclear in any matter in life.  Durood will guide your thoughts in that matter.

Send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) when you research over, or read about any matter in religion or worldly sciences.  It will guide your thoughts as you read or ponder and  help you understand it correctly.   

Ur child is poor in any subject in school?  Finds that he cannot understand it?  Tuition teacher is fine.  But just teach him to send up a little blessing on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) every time he sits down to read that subject and then notice the difference.  He will be able to understand things by himself as his thoughts will be guided correctly.   

Send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) before and after you make dua.  Prayers sealed with durood are essentially accepted.

Send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) every time you are sick.  Send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) every time you are in difficulty.   Salah you offer anyway and also make dua.  But this time also send blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and notice the difference how you are guided out of your difficulty.  

The one thing that separates the right sect from all the others is the invoking of the blessings on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam).  So send salaat on the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) abundantly.

Salam bhai hanfi.  I had circulated this last december in response to the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia declaring Milad un Nabi celebrations as superstitious and haram.

FROM SUPERSTITION TO LIGHT............

This is in response to Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al sheikh who has declared Milad un Nabi celebrations as "superstition " and "haram".

When a child is born ,  in a holy month  like Ramadan , or on a blessed date like the 9th of zilhajj or 10th Muharram etc,  we immediately say, the child is blessed coz he is born on a  blessed date .

Similarly when a person dies in a holy month or on a particular date considered holy in Islam,  we immediately say he must be  a good man that he passed away  in such a blessed month or on such a blessed day / date.................

Even Prophet Muhammad(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) held some dates and some days special because of their association with blessed ppl or  with blessed events.

Reported by Imam Muslim, Abu-Dawood, Al-Nesai, and Al-Tirmidhi, that Prophet Mohammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) had said, "The best day during which the sun have risen is Friday. It is the Day Adam was created. It is the day when Adam entered paradise and also when he was taken out from it. It is also the day on which the day of judgment takes place."

Friday is the day when Prophet Adam(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was created.  It is also the day when Prophet Adam also passed away.  It is the day when Adam(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) entered paradise and also the day when he was taken out of it.  It is the day when the trumpet will be blown destroying all creation and it is also the day of Resurrection and judgement.
If a day associated with Adam(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is considered significant by Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), then don't you think a date associated with Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) himself  should be of even greater significance?  

Allah sends blessed people into this world on blessed dates and he calls them back on blessed dates too.   The date associated with the birth and passing away of Prophet Muhammad(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is the same which means  this date of 12th Rabi ul Awwal  is Doubly blessed. It is of even greater significance than it would have been if the Prophet was only born on that date or had only passed away on that date.  And only the most ignorant of ignorants  equate it with ordinary dates and don't mark it on their calendar.

Those who celebrate the Birthday of the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam), they celebrate keeping his birth above his death. Note:  From the above hadith,  the Prophet celebrated Friday and called it Eid ul Momineen keeping the creation of Adam(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) above his death and keeping the Day of Resurrection above the Day of  Destruction.  

Some even celebrate the liberation and empowerment of his soul ( good souls are liberated and empowered  after death.  Bad souls are enslaved after death) just as the Prophet considered turning out of Adam(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) as a good thing ( from the above hadith) as life started because of it .  And Islam keeps intentions above deeds. 

Those who commemorate ( i.e remember him and pay respect and honour to him ) on this date, also do it for good reason with good intentions.

But what is your logic and what are your intentions when you simply ignore this date entirely and don't even mark it on your calendar considering  it of no significance whatsoever and strut about your usual  routine business on this day with noses up in the air in all arrogance and haughtiness ? 

This  is like showing impudence towards the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) himself.  Its like saying......" Oh I don't care who was born on this date ............or who Prophet Muhammad(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was.............."   
 It speaks of a generation with culture completely destroyed and it speaks of a population bound to be wiped out soon  some day in the near future and replaced by a better people.


   Your children are already beginning to doubt this date of 12th Rabi ul Awal because they don't find you remembering or honouring this date in any special way.  They are asking , " Is 12th rabi ul awal really the date when the Prophet was born......?"    It wont be long before they will begin to doubt the Prophethood  of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) himself.  It wont be long before they will ask you , " Is Mohammed(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) really the Prophet of Allah..........?" 

For those of you and your children who doubt the authenticity of this date, go thru my article " Numerological significance of 12th Rabi ul Awal" on this link below which  proves beyond doubt that Prophet Muhammad(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was indeed born on 12th Rabi ul Awal and the date is no superstition.  Also go thru the article "Bidaa' Hasana" on this link.

Even if one does not celebrate the Holy Prophet's birth ,  it is incumbent upon him to at least commemorate his birth and his death by especially remembering and honouring him on this date.  Every muslim state must declare a holiday on this date.  I live in a Non-muslim country far away from yours ,  and yet ppl--both muslims and Non-muslims revere the date with our Non-muslim government declaring it a holiday on this date and muslims commemorating and celebrating............................And you ppl who live so near to the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ? You don't even understand the Greatness of the Holy Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) or the significance of the date of  12th Rabi ul Awwal.  Truly a shame indeed. 

TEETHING WITH AMBER : 2 ( More on the healing properties of amber)

Here's some more links on the healing energies of  Amber.   Amber is not just for teething but for helping babies overcome many a health problems.  Amber is said to draw out the disease inside the person and transmute negative energy into positive.  Amber is said to be beneficial for diabetes and also used in treating goitres and thyroid problems. Amber comes in almost all colours including blue and green and white.






One more thing .  In the last article I mentioned about writing Surah Qaaf on a piece of paper with saffron and wash with water and said its a tedious process.............well, no , its not.  You just write the Naqsh --the number equivalent--of the surah on the paper.  

Every Surah, every verse, every ayah of the Qur'an has a Naqsh just as the Naqsh for Bismillahir Rahman-ArRaheem is 786 --a number that is widely used and known to one and all. 

Same way whenever you have to write a Surah, you can simply write down the Naqsh of that surah.  It hardly takes 2 minutes.  Even the naqsh of the longest surah shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes to write.  Its easy. 

  If you have to write in saffron, just take a little saffron and dissolve it in water and use a small twig or a feather to write it down on the paper using the saffron water.   

In this case of teething,  use the water in which you have dipped the paper with the Naqsh of Surah Qaaf  to rinse the baby's mouth.  Maybe you can give a little for the baby to drink too......... unless saffron is too hot for the baby's stomach.......well I don't know............but you don't throw away the left over water.  Drink it.  The health benefits of surah Qaaf are many one of which is said to be easy teething in babies.

IMPORTANT EPILEPSY UPDATE : THE WONDER NUTRIENT FOR EPILEPSY CURE.

IMPORTANT EPILEPSY UPDATE :
Our brain is  made up of 60% fat. ( Surprising , but true).  And omega 3 is found to be the most crucial part of this fat.

And its not simply omega 3.  Its the DHA -- docosahexanoic acid of the three omegas that is the most important fatty acid for the brain and unfortunately this is the one fatty acid ppl don't get in their diet nowadays leading to a hundred problems that we never thought had any connection with fatty acids. Most of us think in terms of mineral , vitamin or hormone deficiencies whenever we are faced with a health problem.  But we never think in terms of a fatty acid. ( the book on the link below will tell you  that . And for those who have the patience to go thru the entire book on this link,  you will be blessed with some surprising but very very important and useful info on brain health that your neurologists don't bother to tell you ( if they themselves are aware, that is.............after all when was the last time you come across a neurologist recommending fatty acids for brain health ?? ) ) 

When fatty acids ( presumably omega 3 coz thats the one thats curing the epilepsy....)  in the brain become low,  things go wrong and neurons begin to over fire producing too much / uncontrolled electricity which keeps giving shocks to the body time and again resulting in seizures. 

And while this is not the only cause for epilepsy ,  it is found to be effective in a majority of epilepsies.  

( Not just epilepsy...............,  a hundred health problems related to the brain and nerves including alzheimers, parkinsons , ADHD and others are thought to be due to fatty acid deficiency or fat imbalance in the brain. 
After all, if brain is 60% fat,  then deficiency of fat should indeed lead to a thousand health problems.  But this doesn't mean you overindulge in fat or any particular fatty acid.  While some amount of fatty acids make you intelligent,  too much of it will make you stupid too .)

Important :  High dose omega 3 is shown to have  little or no effect on seizure control.  It is a continuous low dose omega 3 ( about a 1000mg a day) that is found to have a miraculous effect in reducing seizures. High dose of omega 3 presumably blocks some channels / pathways in the brain thus not helping much in seizure control. ( I am providing 2 links.  Those interested can go thru more on the net . )



Omega 3 is found to be helpful in controlling febrile seizures too... 

Research is pinning down a protein-- Interleukin 1, generally responsible for inflammation and fevers-- as a possible causative trigger for ferbrile seizures in children.   Mice deficient in IL-1beta receptors were resistance to experimental febrile seizures.  And N-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids ( omega 3) are found to reduce the synthesis of IL-1. 


( Giving omega 3 to a healthy child also prevents him from getting fever every time he catches an infection. IL-1 is responsible for fever and omega -3 suppresses the synthesis of this protein. )

Imp : Convulsions in new borns and infants are generally due to B6 ( pyridoxine ) deficiency in mothers during pregnancy.  Giving the infants B6 makes the seizures disappear. 

Here's some more things related to epilepsy control............

Researchers are now reconsidering an old forgotten method for epilepsy treatment-- A Ketogenic diet.

A ketogenic diet is a high fat low sugar diet.  This diet triggers fat metabolism ( ketosis) inside the brain and body cells resulting in the formation of ketone bodies in blood and some other proteins which are thought to have anti convulsant properties bringing seizures under control. 
Ketosis is what occurs inside us when we are fasting or starving.  A ketogenic diet mimics the effects of starvation--another common method of curing epilepsy in olden days.  The patient was simply starved keeping him on plain water for days.

Recent studies and researches on this old method has proved it to be quite beneficial in reducing / controlling seizures especially those that don't respond to drug therapy.  

 Note : A ketogenic diet in epileptic children should always be given under a doctor's supervision . Too much production of ketones in the body can lead to a condition called ketoacedosis which can be harmful to the body.  So children should be administered ketogenic diet only under medical supervision.  Child is generally starved for about 2 days to exhaust all carbs before starting on a keto diet.

KNOW YOUR SIGNS OF INSULIN RESISTANCE.

For diabetics and Non-diabetics :  Know your signs of pre diabetic and post diabetic insulin resistance (IR). 

Type 2 diabetes is nothing but insulin resistance.  It begins with insulin resistance and it  keeps growing as one turns a diabetic  until finally one day your body becomes completely resistant to insulin and you die. 

Insulin resistance begins when you take a diet especially rich in carbohydrates over long periods of time in life.
Too much carbohydrates / sugars leads to too much production of insulin in the body in order to digest the sugars and after some time either your pancreas becomes completely exhausted and stops producing insulin ( resulting in type 1 diabetes),  OR , your body cells become resistant to insulin ( resulting in type 2 diabetes).

Some of the more common problems observed in diabetics in the later stages of their lives are simply due to bad/severe insulin resistance but unfortunately neither people nor our diabetologists are aware of it. 

 The following are the signs of both--prediabetic and post diabetic /growing insulin resistance. .

1.  If your blood glucose numbers remain high for long hours after eating it is indicative of insulin resistance.

In diabetics, if  these numbers don't come down for hours even upon taking external insulin or other anti diabetic drugs, ..............or if you find you require more amount of insulin to bring down the same quantity of sugar over time, then all these are signs of growing insulin resistance.  Your cells don't pick up the insulin signals quickly as they are growing more and more resistant to the insulin .  You can consider this as stage 1 insulin resistance. During this stage your body may grow thin as your high sugar in the blood  for prolonged hours starts eating up  different organs inside your body and you may also see wrinkles on your hands and faces.

2.  If you find your blood sugar begins to disappear real fast even after a good crab meal and you begin to feel hungry again long before your next meal is due , this is yet another sign of insulin resistance.   This happens because there is too much insulin coursing your blood .  You can call this stage 2 IR.  ( seen in pre as well as post diabetics again)

When blood glucose levels remain high for long hours  , over time,  the pancreas begins to think that there is not much insulin in the blood to bring down the sugar ( instead of reading it as insulin resistance) ,  and so it now begins to secrete more insulin than usual and there are bursts of extra insulin into the blood just before meal times.  This extra insulin ( coupled with  your  external insulin in diabetics ) , leads to lots of insulin coursing thru your blood and the moment the sugar enters your blood,  your cells pounce upon it.

( Sometimes ppl may observe their blood glucose numbers remain high all thru the day inspite of taking insulin ( insulin resistance) ,  and then all of a sudden begin to fall rapidly in the evening.  This is again insulin resistance.  Its the pancreas releasing a burst of insulin into the blood leading to sudden fall in the sugar levels)

But unfortunately  the cells pouncing upon the glucose are mostly fat cells rather than the muscle cells. The muscle cells become insensitive to the signals of insulin and hence  do not pick up the glucose. ( Muscle cell IR).   So your body now begins to pack the glucose into your fat cells.  The fat cells convert the glucose into fat and store it inside themselves.  As a result  the person finds himself gaining weight or becoming fat .  But not gaining much energy.

(You get energy when glucose is picked up by the muscle cells and burnt therein.   You grow fat when glucose is picked up by the fat cells and stored therein.) . Muscle cell IR is the most common form of IR observed.

3. So if you find yourselves growing fat but weak at the same time ( this is clearly visible in diabetics as they grow old especially those taking insulin.), then this is a SURE  sign of insulin resistance.

 And as there are more fat cells around the stomach,  it results  in the stomach or the middle portion of the body growing big  and the body becoming pear shaped. A  pear shaped body in diabetics is generally indicative of severe IR .

4. Infiltration of fat into the liver (fatty liver) in diabetics is also another sign of insulin resistance.  Excess glucose is now packed as fat in the liver cells too resulting in a fatty liver.

Once you have diagnosed the signs correctly, now go for the correct treatment.  If your doctor refuses to give you the right treatment,  then change your doctor and keep changing till you get the right doctor or simply go ahead and treat yourselves. 

( For those interested in treating themselves, here's a couple of things for you :

Go in for some tests that tell you the amount of insulin in your blood before meals.  C-peptide test is one such test.  It will tell you the amount of insulin coursing thru your blood.  A high level of fasting c-peptide in your blood indicates a  high level of fasting insulin which in turn is indicative of insulin resistance.

At present there are two classes of drugs used to treat insulin resistance--biguanides and thiazolidinediones.  The most common biguanide used is metformin marketed under the more common trade name glucophage all over the world. 

Some of these drugs not only increase insulin sensitivity but also bring down your blood sugar levels.  So if you are already on insulin, you will have to decrease the insulin dosage or simply substitute the insulin with them.
 
Read enough about these drugs before you use them--their mode of working, their effects , side effects and drug interactions  in case you are taking other medicines and pick up what suits you best and begin with a small dose first.  ( I have been treating my mother for insulin resistance for sometime now as none of the big specialists in the city would treat her for it coz they are not even aware that these signs in the patient indicate IR.   They simply kept changing the insulin and i kept changing them )

Keep taking K vitamins .  K2 is said to enhance insulin sensitivity. 
Green tea is also said to increase insulin sensitivity. 

Give up oil and fatty foods as there's already enough carbs now being converted into fat inside your body instead of being burnt.  Taking more oil or fat will only worsen the condition.

And last but not the least, reduce high crab diet.  Replace the carbs in your diet slowly with other nutrients.  More carbs in your diet leads to more insulin being produced in your body and more IR. 

If you must take lots of carbs, then space out the carb diet eating it in little quantities all thru the day instead of consuming them at meal times all at once.  This will release little little quantities of insulin in the blood instead of
sudden heavy bursts of insulin.
 

Keep in mind the multivitamin therapy too.  Diabetes--both type 1 and type 2 also occurs when you become  deficient in vitamin D i.e. when there is no more vitamin D flowing freely in your blood. 

Fatty foods and the crab rich diet coupled with  sedentary life style and no activity leads to more and more fat being stored inside your body cells which in turn depletes freely circulating vitamin D levels in the blood as vitamin D being a fat soluble vitamin remains trapped inside the fat in the cells.  And then the genes regulating blood sugar don't get enough vitamin D to work properly and  body throwing your blood sugar control mechanism out of gear.

Just reduce carbohydrates in your food.  Take only that much carbohydrate as much energy as you require for your daily activities.  Coz if you don't burn all your carbs by doing active work, then the remaining carbs will be stashed away inside the body cells as fat.

Rice and wheat/bread are already staple foods in many parts of the world and eaten in large quantities.  On top of that everything in the market that we get nowadays is "sweet" and filled with all kinds of sugars in it.  Plus the crazy addiction to chocolates and cakes by kids.   It leads to too much production of insulin and your pancreas getting exhausted or your cells becoming resistant  or obesity and depletion of free vitamin D in blood.

THE ONE COMMON MISTAKE IN DIABETIC TREATMENT

In Medical terms the condition is called Relative hypoglycemia .  It is  hypoglycemia that occurs at sugar levels above 80mg/dl.  This is wrongly diagnosed by diabetologists today as panic attacks and the patient is put on psychiatric pills.

A panic attack occurs due to psychological reasons.  But the causes for Relative hypoglycemia are physiological more than psychological. 

Relative hypoglycemia occurs due to one of the following two reasons :
 
1) When blood sugar is falling rapidly--say from 300 to a 200 within a few minutes.   This is generally observed in ppl with insulin resistance.   Their body responds very late to insulin,  and when it does respond after hours,  the effect is rapid.  Blood sugar begins to come down rapidly leading to hypoglycemic symptoms even at blood glucose numbers of 200 or above.   This is not a panic attack.  This is hypoglycemia and if the person is not allowed a little something to eat at that time to stabilize himself,  the consequences could be dangerous.

2)  It also occurs when a person whose body has become accustomed to high blood sugar ( say 300 or 400) is trying to bring it down straightaway to a hundred (without an in-between target) with large units of insulin.   This can be explained as follows : 

 Imagine what happens when you go on  a crash diet or sudden starvation .

If your body is used to 5 plates of food in a day and you suddenly begin to starve it  bringing down the quantity to half a plate ALL AT ONCE ,  what happens ?  You grow weak and tired and shaky and sweaty and you will even faint within 24 to 48  hours.   

But suppose you bring down the quantity gradually--5--4--2--1--1/2  over weeks giving ample time for the body to adjust and adapt to the changes each time,  then your body will survive on even a quarter plate in a day or just one morsel in a day without fainting.   

While sudden starvation has even killed ppl, gradual starvation has made bodies adapt to, and survive on plain water and air too............

Same way when bringing down sugar levels, body must be given time to adapt to the new sugar levels by  bringing down the sugar gradually and not all of a sudden.  If your  body is adapted to a sugar level of say 400 , then let your new target be 300.  Give body time to adapt to this new target for a few weeks  and then proceed  to your next target of 200 and then  100 and then lower. 

But if you try to bring a 300 or a 400 straightaway to a 100 , you will suffer hypoglycemia symptoms and you can actually faint ( never mind what your physician says ) coz your body is not adapted yet to sudden lows. 

AND THIS IS NOT A PANIC ATTACK.   PSYCHIATRIC PILLS WILL NOT TREAT IT. 

IF A PERSON TREMBLES AND SHAKES OR FAINTS WHILE ON A SUDDEN CRASH DIET,  DO YOU SUGGEST PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT FOR HIM OR DO YOU SUGGEST HE DIET MORE SLOWLY BRINGING DOWN THE QUANTITY OF FOOD LITTLE BY LITTLE EVERYDAY........................ ?

Make both--diabetics and diabetologists aware of this.  Physicians first follow this very wrong method of trying to normalize high sugar levels all at once with large doses of insulin and then diagnose the following hypoglycemic symptoms as panic attacks  tossing all common sense aside and refer the person to a psychiatrist.  More confusion and more trouble follows the patient.  

Some things your thyroid specialist wont tell you.......

Do you suffer from an underactive thyroid?   Do you have a swollen thyroid (goiter) in your neck?  Have you been to an endocrinologist?  The first time you go to him, he'll make you run a thyroid profile and put you up on thyroxine.    Go to him the next time and he'll suggest a biopsy of your thyroid gland.  And go to him a third time and he'll suggest removal of your thyroid gland !!! 

But here's somethings he's probably never told you and will also  never tell you.

What he wont tell you is that due to the increasing work load and hard competition for survival in this world, and ppl working away night and day,  and the daily stress and the strain.................your body requires more thyroxine than normal.  And in order to make more thyroxine, your body needs more iodine in your food.
What he wont tell you is that any thyroid gland will swell when it is under pressure to make more thyroxine for the body , but is not getting enough iodine to make the thyroxine.

What your doctor wont tell you is that 90% of the hypothyroid cases are due to deficiency of iodine in the diet and the the swelling of the gland (goiter) disappears when you increase your  iodine uptake in your diet.

And what he wont ever bother to  give you is a list of iodine rich food.

Here's a list of iodine rich food which I found on the net. 

Most of the iodine rich food is found in the sea , but the one richest in iodine is sea weeds--kelp, kombu, arame, hiziki.............one tbs of kelp is said to  contain 2000mcg iodine in it.........
Himalayan crystal salt comes next on the list. It is a particular salt formed under intense tectonic pressure and it stores high vibrational energy coz of its cellular structure..............one gram of this salt contains about 500mcg iodine........
Java plum ( jamun) , cranberry fruit , Indian falsa fruit, brinjal,  ............all the dark red-purple colored fruit and veggies contain iodine in it. ( Iodine imparts the purplish colour.  Dissolved iodine can also have varying colours like yellow, brown-orange.......)

Other eatables which contain iodine ( in lesser amounts) are milk, organic yogurt, organic strawberries, beetroot, potato peels and some other stuff.........

Plz forward this list . There is one person in almost every home with an underactive thyroid and they are all on external thyroxine (myself included).  And not a single one of them is aware that he or she needs to increase his or her iodine content.............. nor do they know of the food stuffs that contain iodine in them.  The doctors never tell you. The thyroxine is alright...........but far more important than external thyroxine is increasing the iodine in your diet.

Forgotten lesson from grade 3................

" Nutrients are mainly divided into  :  Carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and  minerals, (and fats) .

"Carbohydrates (and fats) are energy giving foods.  

 Proteins are body building foods. 

 And Vitamins  and minerals are protecting foods which protect from diseases and other health problems resulting from deficiency states.  And they are present mostly in fruit.............."  


Yup. You  studied that in grade 5 and your child studies it in grade 3 now.
The most important things are generally taught in the lower classes which we forget as we move to higher classes studying less important things.  

Carbs , fats and proteins ( albeit destroyed), you get aplenty in your home made preparations.  But how many of you have fruit on your menu everyday ?    At least one fruit a day ?  Do you have fruit on your child's menu at least ?
No ?  Then start doing it from Today.  Give your child one fruit every morning--whatever is available in the season.   You can give it in the form of  milk shake if your child doesn't like eating it.  Every child loves fruit milkshakes.  

You spend hours in the kitchen everyday preparing all kinds of foods for your children--fried , roasted, cooked-- and then stuff them up with it.  And yet it doesn't help your child from falling sick or developing deficiency states.  The carbs and proteins which you give your child gives him energy and builds his body.  But it does not prevent him from falling sick.  He needs vitamins for that.  So you must essentially give him fruit.  

Instead of sweating it out in the kitchen every morning for three  hours  preparing stuff  with destroyed proteins and dripping in oils laden heavily with omega 6 and trans fats  , and then spending the next one hour bullying your child into eating it ,  just give him a glass of milk with a fruit blended in it.  And give him a boiled egg or a couple of them.  Its a great breakfast.  Your child will get carbs, proteins, and vitamins.  And he will eat it in no time without any fuss.  And it saves you a hell of a time in the mornings.   For lunch, you can pack him some sandwiches with veggies ( and non veg if you like) .  It will give him proteins , minerals and carbs again .  Give him a couple of oranges too. Helps build immunity.  You can save the sweating in the kitchen for dinner.  


Wake up people.  You find children falling sick every few days.  Instead of thinking of ways to keep them from falling sick,  most parents and people have simply developed an insensitivity to it.  " Oh all children fall sick.  "  " Its natural for children to fall sick".   " Falling sick is a part of childhood"..........................this is the attitude when children fall sick. 

  It is actually our adult  thinking and adult attitudes that  have become sick.  We don't want to read.  We don't want to think.  We don't even wanna know better ways to take care of our kids.   We no longer care.   Children are like a pain in our neck.  We are just waiting for them to grow up so we can throw them out of our lives on some pretext or the other.  If its a girl child,  marriage is a nice excuse to kick her out of the house.   

UTERINE DISORDERS LINKED TO SELENIUM DEFICIENCY.

Selenium is a trace element, a micronutrient required by our body in small quantities. ( In micrograms.  Not milligrams).  And it works along with Vitamin E.  Selenium along with vitamin E , protects uterine lining from damage by free radicals and also keeps estrogen levels in control.  Selenium deficiency has also  been linked to high estrogen levels in the body which rapidly worsen the above problems.

Selenium is present in most of the common foods that we eat although the richest source of Selenium happens to be Brazil nuts.  You can check selenium rich foods on different websites. Also check out the normal required dose of Selenium for healthy adults which is said to be about 50 mcg per day.  Too much selenium taken for long time also causes other problems.  The maximum safe dose of Selenium in a day is 400 mcg ( should be used only by people who have  uterine disorders only. )   

  Its time to wake up to vitamin and nutrient therapies.   Many a health problem suffered today is due to a deficiency of some nutrient(s) in the bodywhich in turn is attributed  to our diet or depletion of the minerals in the soil due to over cultivation and soil erosion mostly. 

What the doctors provide you is symptomatic treatment using drugs .  But this does not address the real cause of the problem.  And that is why the problem keeps popping up again and again and the treatment continues all your life while in many cases the problem actually aggravates finally leading to the hysterectomy or the oophorectomy.  If you want to cure the problem, then you must address the cause besides the symptomatic treatment. 

Besides Selenium,  other minerals such as iodine,  zinc , and folic acid are also said to treat uterine problems as iodine,  zinc and folate deficiency is also said to be other common factors contributing to the above uterine and ovarian disorders.  

There are stories where a simple change in the diet avoiding some particular food stuffs which is said to worsen the above problems have also given a far better success rate than the drugs which our doctors provide. 


But most of us never bother to think in terms of a change in our diet for our health problems.  All we can think of is drugs. And unfortunately our doctors also do not give us any info other than drugs.  Time to wake up to diet therapies too.  For every health problem, there has to be food stuffs that you must avoid and food stuffs that you must take.  Search and find out.  Don't depend on the doctor to give you the info. 


Also for the above health problems, the most common therapy so far was the contraceptive therapy which the doctors commonly provided which are generally not very effective.  Wake up to progesterone therapies for fibroids, endometriosis, and miscarriages.  " Progesterone--only" therapies.  Talk to your doctor about it.  Not many doctors are again aware of the new progesterone therapies.  And it will take decades for them to become aware and accept the new.  You can go ahead with the progesterone therapy but not before you read enough about it first on many different sites.

PANIC ATTACKS

Panic attacks are a common feature these days among both--old as well as the young.   Most people go through  this at some point of time in life or the other.  

I myself  had  suffered it  at the age of 30 when I was working abroad . I had experienced mild and severe -- mostly severe panic attacks for about six to eight  months and I know how very frightening the experience can be especially if you have never heard of it before and you think you are the first of your kind going through this weird and frightening experience as in my case.  I never asked for help and suffered quietly  because I was quite convinced that nobody would ever understand what I was going through let alone be able to help me ! 
  
While it is hard to pinpoint the real cause for the panic attack,  it usually occurs in a state of  worry, stress, anxiety and fear  generally present deep inside the subconscious or the unconscious mind which the conscious mind is unable to detect hence leaving one bewildered and confused at the sudden panic attack.  Severe panic attacks can sometimes result in a nervous breakdown too.
Many people think panic attacks occur when a person lives alone.  This is not wholly correct. 
Panic attacks can occur even while living amidst family and friends though a person does tend to think more when he lives alone and therefore quite a few people living alone tend to suffer panic attacks. 
One reason (that few people are aware of ) as to why so many people--young and old alike are suffering panic attacks these days all of a sudden  is because of our changing  earth frequencies (read about the photon belt)   lifting us and helping us adapt to the higher dimensional frequencies around us .  It generally involves anxiety, thought and stress putting pressure on the  pineal and the pituitary glands forcing them open which in turn triggers  panic attacks in us. 
  
Sometimes panic attacks make a person much stronger afterwards.  For example, I have seen a couple of old people suddenly loose all fear of death  after they suffered  panic attacks for sometime.  Likewise when I take my own example ,  I find that I am actually glad I had suffered the panic attacks  coz they left me with a strength and confidence in myself that I had never known  before.  A strength that few people in this world are blessed with.   Lots of fears related to life  and survival  or being alone in life as are  commonly found in many of us  have simply disappeared from me.  So it is my personal opinion that people suffer panic attacks when it is time for them to move beyond some of their fears.

Many youngsters today suffer mild panic attacks as their frequencies shift from three dimensional to the five dimensional  which is said to be the first of the dimensions  of  "freedom from fear".   Many of our fears  related to our survival  are removed as we push  into the higher dimensions and this sometimes  involves  panic attacks as we release and let go of the  fear elements inside us.

The severity of the attack  depends  on the severity of your  stress and anxiety.    But this is a temporary / transient phase,  which disappears soon enough as  we begin to adapt  to the new frequencies.  But if these attacks are severe or  remain for prolonged  periods  then it is a cause for concern  more so especially if the person happens to be old.  

Sudden heart palpitations leading to panic inside you can also occur when there is a severe deficiency of Magnesium and B vitamins in your body especially B9 and B6 .  Magnesium is the most important mineral for the heart found in greens.  When we give up on greens for a long time,  magnesium deficiency arises in our body leading to weakening of the heart and onset of palpitations and panic attacks sometimes.

HOW CAN YOU HELP YOURSELVES IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING  PANIC ATTACKS ?

---Panic attacks generally occur during times of stress and anxiety and way too much thinking  all by yourself.  So go out and socialist a little or busy yourselves in something.   Diversion is important.  Panic attacks become more frequent and recurrent  when we keep thinking and fearing about the next attack.  So divert your mind from it.  
 
---Know that you are not alone in whatever is happening to you.  There are millions out there in this world who are going thru exactly the same as you are , and they have survived it too .  Once you realize that you are not alone in this  and this is not going to kill you no matter how terrifying  it may be,  you have already conquered half your panic attacks.  You see......we tend to panic much more when we think we are the only one in this world who are experiencing strange problems.
 
 ---Know a little science behind the attack.  Your perceived threat and your fear factor triggers your adrenal gland--your organ of fight or flight.  This is nothing strange.  Your adrenal gland triggers every time something excites you or threatens or frightens you.  Only, in this case your threat is not real.  It is perceived.  It could be perceived deep in your subconscious or the unconscious mind which you may not be aware of , hence the confusion and bewilderment. 

---Identify triggers.  i.e. the  situations wherein you feel uncomfortable.  Simply  avoid those situations unless your rational mind functions enough to analyse things logically.

---Engage in the attack rather than try to fight it .   This is one great strategy actually and it worked best in my case.   When you try to fight an attack, it makes you panic all the more as you realise your own helplessness against it.  So just stay calm and let the attack run its course.  Once you realise it is not going to harm you or kill you no matter how frightening it may be,  your  rational mind will begin to function again.   Start focusing on your  daily routines and one day the attacks will vanish and  things will return to normal.  In fact better than normal as you will find yourself far more confident in yourself than ever before. 
 
---Learn slow deep breathing.  We tend to hyperventilate during panic attacks.  Slow deep breathing can also help prevent and control  panic attacks by a large degree.

---  Occasionally a tranquilizer also helps in slowing  down your worried racing mind.  Learning to relax and controlling the thoughts controls the attacks. 
---Eat plenty of green and take B vitamins.


HOW CAN YOU HELP ANOTHER  PERSON EXPERIENCING PANIC ATTACKS  ESPECIALLY  IF THE PERSON HAPPENS TO BE OLD OR ELDERLY ?

What works for us , generally works for other too........so here's what you can do if you find a family member in your house suffering panic attacks.

---First of all you have to make sure that it is a panic attack and not a heart attack the person is experiencing.  And for that it is best to take the person to a cardiologist  immediately at least the first couple of times until it is quite clear that it is not a heart attack but a panic attack.  Don't try to assume things all by yourself  here coz this concerns another's life, not your own.  Now, once it has become evident that these are panic attacks and not heart attacks the person is suffering,  here is what you can do :
 
--- Try to be around the person as much as you can and make sure the person is never left alone during day or night.  Even though panic attacks do not necessarily have much to do with being alone,  it is a great comfort to have someone around all the time in such stressful periods.  Someone strong and dependable. 

--- Encourage the person to talk everyday.  Talk away whatever is on his mind.  If you find any clues to an underlying anxiety or fear ,  try to allay it little by little everyday.

---Divert the person's mind from the panic attacks.  If it is an elderly person suffering panic attacks,  presence of  a child around can be a great diversion as old people generally love having  little children around them as long as they don't trouble them !  Diversion is important.  Panic attacks become more frequent if one keeps thinking about it fearing the next occurrence all the time.  

--- Try to identify triggers.  For example the person may ask you to change the channel whenever  you watch news on tv or a crime thrilller ......... or may not like to sit in a car with windows closed........... or may not like it quiet in the evenings or some may not feel comfortable in crowded places.  Identify the times and situations when the person is most uncomfortable and likely to experience a panic attack and try to keep the person away from such situations. 
 
 ---Most of the suffering ppl are simply bewildered as to whats happening to them and why.   Quite a few mistake it for a heart attack too. And when ecg reports come clean , it adds to their confusion and panic.  Make the person aware of panic attacks as opposed to heart attacks and let the person know that there are millions of others going thru exactly the same as him and also recovering soon as it is a passing phase in life.   Nothing can give a person more strength and comfort like knowing that he is not the first of his kind  who is going thru some  problem in this world and that there's others who have been thru it.  Let the person know it is a passing phase in life and not here to stay.

---During normal times ( i.e. when the person is fine ), teach him slow deep breathing. Teach him to relax taking deep breaths every day.  People  become anxious and hyperventilate just before a panic attack . This is one important symptom by which you can differentiate a panic attack from a heart attack.  In a heart attack you dont hyperventilate .  

---During the attack just  be around the person and say soothing things to calm him down.  When he calms down a bit, you can give him a tranquiliser.   All he needs to do is stay calm and learn to relax and keep his thoughts and fears in check and not let them get the better of him. 

---Give the person plenty of fresh cool air.  Many people feel hot and sweaty during a panic attack.
---If the attacks are recurrent or severe,  medication becomes necessary.  The person may need  tranquilisers and adrenalin blockers.  Take him to a doctor.

---Give the person plenty of greens in his or her diet.  And lots of folic acid.  Magnesium and B vitamins strengthen the heart.
 
---And last but not the least , let the person know that there is nothing to feel bad or embarrassed about it.  It will one day leave the person  much more stronger in life than others.

Once a person gets diabetes,  the vitamins in his body begin to deplete fast.   Hence diabetes is also known as a multivitamin deficiency disorder. 

Here's what happens when different vitamins deplete in the body.

Vitamin A depletion leads to weakening of eye sight. 

Vitamin C depletion leads to formation of cataracts ( motiya in the eye commonly observed in diabetics ) and diabetic itching  and allergies.

Vitamin B depletion leads to a number of problems.   He-art attacks,  Nerve damage and many other problems.  Vitamin B12 is especially important for proper nerve functioning.   Nerve damage is the leading cause of death in diabetics.

Vitamin D depletion leads to more loss over sugar control.  The genes regulating blood sugar are controlled by vitamin D.  Deficiency of this vitamin in the body leads to loss of sugar control.

Vitamin K depletion leads to insulin resistance and blood clotting problem.  When diabetics get even a tiny scratch on their body , the blood does not stop and the wound does not heal fast.  And this is also another  major  cause of death in diabetics. 

Diabetics must essentially take all of the above vitamins and more.   Diabetes is a multivitamin deficiency disorder.   

These are things your doctors never bother to tell.  All they give is the insulin.  And some pills.  Nothing more.

It is WE who must keep reading and be aware for ourselves and for our family.  

Are you a diabetic with burning feet?

Do you have any diabetics at home or around complaining of burning sensation in feet?  Its common enough problem.  I've come across 4 diabetics who say their feet burn like someone applied chili paste to their feet. 

Not to be ignored.  Burning sensation in feet means your nervous system is getting damaged. Ur peripheral nerves in the feet are getting damaged and overfiring and producing the heat inside which burns.
And this is due to Vitamin B12 deficiency.  This vitamin is especially for preservation of the nervous system.  Lack of this vitamin in the body results in damage of the brain and central nervous system. Looks like the B brigade of vitamins is quite important.  B6 , B9 , B12.........:)

Type 2 diabetics mostly use metformin ( they cant do without it, they have to use it) and this creates a deficiency of vitamin B12 in their body which damages nerves and so their feet burn. So they must be supplemented with B12.

B12 it says is called cobalamin coz it contains cobalt in it.  ( Did we read about it in the lower classes?........just dont remember anything now.......too bad....)

B12 is found abundantly in shellfish and clams and oysters and mussels ( thats right, just the things you hate--slimy sea food)  and  its found in liver of lamb and beef and other cattle and turkey......About 60% of the total B12 produced in animals is stored in their liver, so liver is packed with B12.

Ways to prevent yourselves from getting diabetes.


Diabetes (type 1 mostly found in children and also in adults nowadays ) occurs when your pancreas becomes exhausted digesting sugars in your body and cannot  produce anymore insulin to digest the sugars. 

Type 2 diabetes ( mostly found in adults)  occurs when body cells becomes resistant to insulin over time which in turn is again due to heavy intake of sugars  leading to too much production of insulin in the body over time making the body cells insensitive to insulin. 

So limiting sugar intake in your diet  is the first step to preventing diabetes.    

1. Limit sugar intake.  Chocolates, sweets, cakes, and anything sweet .

2.  Rice and bread (wheat) is also sugars.  They convert into glucose in the body. 

Reduce the rice and the wheat and increase vegetables in your diet. 

3. Burgers and pizzas ( made up of wheat)  is also mostly sugars. Limit their intake too.

4.  Eat lots of fresh vegetables.   Different vegetables have different minerals in them which serve different purposes in the body. 

Most ppl are generally addicted to chicken nowadays.  Chicken has just a few nutrients in it while the different veggies contain a variety of nutrients and many different minerals that can protect you from a number of different health problems.

5.  Get in the habit of eating some fruit too.  Fruit though contain sugars,  also contain a lot of different vitamins.  Replace the rice of one meal with fruit.

6.  Get out in the sun.  Preferably the morning sun.  So that you get vitamin D without burning your skin.  Burnt skin wont synthesize vitamin D until the burnt layer sheds and new layer forms again. 

Deficiency of vitamin D has been linked to a number of health problems including diabetes,  alzheimers, parkinsons, rheumatoid arthritis , asthma ( common problems observed everywhere.  In almost every hospital and health clinic these days you have a special bulletin displayed on the importance of vitamin D. 
 
7.  Get into the habit of walking or jogging everyday.   Diabetes is not because it runs in the family.  Its because no one runs in the family !.

PREVENT JUVENILE DIABETES.  CUT SWEETS.  EXPOSE KIDS TO SUNLIGHT.

Type 1 diabetes ( previously called juvenile diabetes as its observed mostly in children and teens now observed in adults too.......), an autoimmune disorder,   has always  been attributed mainly to genetic problems .  Studies have now confirmed that genes involved in autoimmune disorders including type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis  are strongly regulated by vitamin D as they are found to contain far more number of vitamin D receptors on them than other genes. 



Juvenile diabetes is the fastest growing health disorder in children and teens these days with US and UK topping the list. India is not far behind either with every 5th child in the world diagnosed with juvenile diabetes now an Indian.  But juvenile diabetes gets little attention as all concentration is on adult diabetes.  Type 1 diabetes is far worse than type-2 and children afflicted with it suffer far more than the adults. There is no cure for any diabetes so far.  Prevention is the only way as of now.

 Vitamin D deficiency is currently a big health concern in this world with more and more health disorders being linked to the lack of this vitamin in the body.  Studies have linked asthma to D-deficiency too  . Asthma is a multivitamin deficiency just like diabetes 2 but more predominantly due to D deficiency.   But unfortunately vitamins and minerals are still not on the doctors' radars as most simply believe in drugs.

Encourage children to play or  take a walk out in the sun for sometime everyday .   Most of the homes today are sealed with not a ray of  sunlight streaming in .  And with busy life schedules children no longer get to play out in the  street or sun anymore.  Even in schools children no longer get to be out in the sun with many schools now holding  assemblies in the classes itself .  They are not allowed in the ground even during lunch breaks.   School campuses  are only for show.   Added to that is the growing colour consciousness among teens.  With generation 1 extolling the fairness factor and "virtues of a fair skin",  generation 2 now avoids sunlight like plague.  And generation 3 ? You're blessed if they see anything good about sunlight at all !

Besides the sunlight factor,  obesity is yet another factor that is said to contribute to vitamin D loss and  diabetes in children (and adults). 
Vitamin D being a fat soluble vitamin ,  is absorbed by the body fat and stored in it.  A little fat in the food that you take is good and aids in the absorption of vitamin D.  But too much fat in the body (as found in obese ppl) , absorbs too much vitamin D making it less and less available for circulation and body needs.  Though researchers are not entirely sure if it is the fat in the body that leads to D-deficiency or if it is the other way round........but the link between Vitamin D deficiency in blood and obesity  has already been confirmed.  Diabetics--both type 1 and type 2 are found to be severely lacking  in this vitamin more than other vitamins in their body . 

"Insulin demand" is yet another factor contributing to type-1 diabetes.  According to health experts,  with children addicted to sweet all the time , it increases the insulin demand in the body leading to stress on the beta cells and the genes to make more and more insulin finally leading to your pancreas becoming exhausted quickly and unable to produce insulin.

Meet your brain waves -- beta, alfa, theta, delta , gamma.

Beta is produced when you are fully conscious.  Alfa during relaxation. Theta when you are just drifting off to sleep, delta during deep dreamless sleep,  and gamma during mystic and transcendental experiences.

Do you feel fresh and good after a deep dreamless sleep? 

Thats coz ur brain produces delta waves-- a very low frequency waves produced by the electrical activity in the brain which rejuvenate your body and heal you in your sleep. Thats why you feel healthy and good after a sound sleep even if it is for just half and hour.  Also you find people when recovering from an illness usually eat and sleep a lot.

Now you can produce delta brainwaves to some extent even in an awakened state using sounds and music which correspond to the delta frequency of your brain (0.5 to 4 Hz) and help production of the delta waves thru resonance. Makes sense.

 There's many many sound / music videos on various frequencies of delta waves and also beta , alfa, theta brain waves.  Half the sound videos are stupid as such , but some of them felt good.  Most of them are vibration sounds like ocean.  It says one needs to listen repeatedly over time to slowly produce the delta waves. You can try it sometimes. Its a good exercise at self healing and a little spiritual experience if it can really produce the delta waves.  

( In any case producing delta waves in awakened state is not easy coz its actually a very great blessing that usually occurs in the ascended plane / state of Jabroot as spoken by Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani -- Chief of Auliya. 

 Delta brain waves are said to produce a beautiful healing sensation inside you as they move down your body.  But you are not aware of this sensation and the joy and bliss it brings coz you are fast asleep at that time and so is the rest of your brain.  But when it occurs in awakened state, then you feel the sensation of healing and joy and purity and bliss pervade your mind, heart body and soul. )

Colour therapy for diabetes................

YELLOW COLOUR, YELLOW FRUIT , YELLOW CRYSTALS--ITS YELLOW FOR DIABETES.

The solar plexus chakra ( third energy wheel)  is the pancreas. ( Some  include upper cortex of adrenal glands along with the pancreas).  Atoms of pancreas vibrate to the frequencies of yellow colour.  Yellow colour stimulates the pancreas--the problem gland in diabetics.

Diabetics must  introduce the colour yellow in their lives as they are lacking in it.   Eating yellow coloured fruit and veggies , and wearing yellow dresses and yellow crystals and having yellow coloured objects around them can normalise their pancreas to some extent. 

Yellow colour also provides one with confidence,  self esteem  and  will power to fight the problem besides other things.  ( I am not providing links here.  You can  go thru 'n' number of them on the net).

Reducing obesity is also said to help diabetics.  It is found that too much obesity leads to fat deposition in the pancreas too.  As fat surrounds the cells of the pancreas, the insulin produced is trapped around the cells and  unable to find its way into the blood stream.   So reducing obesity also helps reduce diabetes.  ( Again , obesity is found to be linked to the deficiency of Vitamin D. ) 

P.S. Colour and crystal therapies should be used ALONG with the anti-diabetic medications and not as a sole therapy.   For a health problem like diabetes,  monotherapy is not sufficient.  So one must go in for multiple therapies.  Anti diabetic drugs should be followed by multivitamins.  And then other therapies along with it. 

Don't forget multivitamins. Diabetes is a multivitamin deficiency disorder.  It begins with the deficiency of vitamin D. ( Vitamin D controls genes that regulate blood sugar.  Deficiency of this vitamin makes the functioning of these genes go haywire. ) And then other vitamins begin to deplete in diabetics. 
Depletion of vitamin C leads to allergies , diabetic itching, cataracts and vision loss.   Depletion of Vitamin B12 leads to neuropathy or nerve damage and loss of sensation in limbs which then spreads to the nerves inside the brain too ( a common cause of death in diabetics).  Deficiency of vitamin K2 leads to insulin resistance ( another common cause of death in diabetics).   Diabetics should take the entire B-complexes and K-complexes.  Vitamin K deficiency also leads to clotting problem which does not allow wounds to heal ( yet another common cause of death in diabetics.)

Its painful to witness a loved one slowly succumb to it.  As per statistics it affects a tenth of the population of age group 65 and about a third of the population of age group 85 and above.  But inshallah you can prevent it if you keep reciting this durood every now and then.  

If you find any old person in your home showing symptoms of memory loss, keep  reciting the below  durood on their behalf everyday.
