36. General everyday important Sunnah’s

1. Wrong doing: If any news of a persons wrong doing reached Rasulallah then he
never said the name of the person like “What has happened to that person why are they
indulging against such and such wrong.” but without mentioning the names of the person he
would say it in general terms like for e.g. “What has happened to people that they are
indulging in such and such wrong.” (Tirmidhi)

2. When Rasulallah(Pbuh) walked: he never caused anyone to move from his path.
When walking Rasulallah used to lift his feet with so much vigour’s as if ascending a high place and when placing the feet on the ground he used to lower it in such a manner as if descending. (Tirmidhi)

3. Whilst sneezing: Rasulallah(Pbuh) would cover his face with his hand or cloth. (Tirmidhi)

When you sneeze, and then say:

(i) Alhamdu lillaah

All praises and thanks are to Allah.

Your companion should say:

(ii) Yarhamukallaah

May Allah have mercy upon you.

When someone says Yarhamukallaah to you then you should say:

(iii) Yahdeekumul-laahu wa yuslihu baalakum.

May Allah guide you and set your affairs in order. (Al-Bukhari 7/125)

4. On a very windy day: Rasulallah(Pbuh) would read the following:

Allaahumma innee a’udhu bika minsharrimaa arsalthu feehaa

“Oh Allah I seek refuge in you from the evil of that which you have sent in it”. (Tabarani)

Also:

Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka khayrahaa, wa 'a'oothu bika min sharrihaa.

O Allah, I ask You for the good of it and seek refuge in You against its evil. (Abu Dawud
4/326, Ibn Majah 2/1228)

Also at the time of heavy winds sit in the position of attahiyat and recite:

Allaahummaj ‘al haa rahmathan walaa thaj ‘al haa ‘adhaaballaahummaj ‘al haa riyaa ha an
walaa thaj ‘al haa riyaa

"O Allah let it be a mercy and not a punishment. O Allah make it a beneficial and not a
destructive wind". (Mishkat)

If there is darkness with the heavy wind, recite Surah Falaq and Surah Naas. (Mishkat)

The Messenger of Allah(Pbuh) said: The Wind is of the Mercy of Allah. It brings mercy, and it brings torture. So when you see it, do not curse it, and ask Allah for its good, and solicit Allah's protection from its evil. (Abu Daw ood and Ibn Majah)

5. When yawning: it is Sunnah to prevent it as far as possible. (Bukhari)

If the mouth cannot be kept closed despite making an effort to do so, and then place the
back of the left hand over the mouth. While yawning, any sound should not be allowed to
emanate as this is forbidden in the hadith. (Bukhar-Vol.2, pg.919, Muslim-Vol.2, pg. 412,
413)

6. When hearing a good name: then to regard it as a good omen is Sunnah and to become pleased with this is also Sunnah. To regard anything as a bad omen is strictly prohibited. For example, when someone sneezes, to think that you will not succeed in your work or to regard the cawing of a crow or the sight of a monkey or the hooting of an owl as an indication of an impending calamity is baseless and a result of ignorance and incorrect beliefs and superstitions. In the same manner to regard someone as a means of bad luck or to regard any day as bad is a very evil act. (Mirqaat-Vol.9, pg. 2, 6. etc)

7. When bidding farewell: to anyone to any person or group of people then Rasulallah(Pbuh)
read the following dua:

Asthawdi’ullaaha deenakum wa amaa nathakum wa khawaa theema a’maa lakum

“To Allah I hand your deen, your trust and the consequence (result) of your actions”. (Abu
Dawood)

8. At the onset of winter: Rasulallah (Pbuh) would begin sleeping inside the house on a Friday night and similarly his sleeping outside the house in summer, would also commence on a Friday night. (Ibn- Asakir)

9. When looking into the mirror say:

Allaahumma antha hassantha khalqee fahassin khulqee

“Oh Allah, you have made perfect my body, so also make perfect my character.” (Darami)

10. At the time of rain:

Allaahumma Sayyibann Naafi’aa

“O Allaah, (bring) beneficial rain clouds.” (Bukhari – Fathul-Bari 2/518)

After it has rained:

Mutirnaa bifadhlillaahi wa rahmatihi

“It has rained by the bounty of Allaah and His Mercy” (Bukhari 1/205, Muslim 1/83)

11. At the time of thunder:

SubhanAllaahil ladhii yusabbihur ra’du bi hamdihi wal malaa-ikatu min kheefatihi

“Glory is to Him Whom thunder and angels glorify due to fear of Him.”

Whenever Abdullaah bin Zubair (RA) would hear thunder, he would abandon all conversation and say this supplication. (Muwatta 2/992)

Rasulallah(Pbuh) also used to read at the time of thunder:

Allahumma laa thaqthulnaa bighabika walaa thuhliknaa b’adhaa bika w’aa finaa qabla
Dhaalik

“Oh Allah do not kill us in your anger, do not destroy us with your punishment, and grant us
safety before that”. (Tirmidhi)

(Muslim 6549)

21. Charity of posthumous effect (Sadaqah jaariyya): It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurraira(RA) that the Messenger of Allah(Pbuh) said: "The action of man stops when he dies

and He has power over all things.

100 times in the morning provides protection till the evening. (Bukhari & Muslim)

36. Sunnah of Pondering over the creations and greatness of Allah

1. Another Sunnah is that one should not ponder about the being of Almighty Allah instead
one should ponder over the greatness and creation of Allah Ta’ala.

2. The pondering and reflecting mentioned in the Ayat. Refers to pondering and reflecting
over His creation, not over His being. (Masaail-e-Sulook from Bayaanul Qur’an)

38. The Virtues of Laylatul Qadr

Taken from The Sahih Collection of al-Bukhari

The excellence of the Night of Power:

Allah Almighty says, "Truly We sent it down on the Night of Power. And what will convey to you what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. In it the angels and the Spirit descend by their Lord's authority with every ordinance. It is Peace – until the coming of the dawn." (97)

Ibn 'Uyayna (RA)said, "The ma in the Qur'an in 'ma adraka' indicates that He has informed him, and the ma in 'ma yudrika' that has not informed him."

1910. It is related from Abu Hurayra(RA) that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who fasts in Ramadan motivated by belief and in anticipation of the reward will be forgiven his past wrong actions. Anyone who spends the Night of Power in prayer motivated by belief and in anticipation of the reward will be forgiven his past wrong actions."

Searching for the Night of Power on the odd nights of the last ten days:

1913. It is related from 'A'isha (RA) that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Look for the Night of Power on the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

1917. It is related from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Search for the Night of Power during the last ten nights of Ramadan when nine, seven or five remain."

1918. It is related that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The Night of Power is during the last ten nights. It is in the nine which have passed or the seven remaining."

The removal of the knowledge of the Night of Power on account of people quarrelling:

1919. It is related that 'Ubada ibn as-Samit(RA) said, "The Messenger of Allah, May Allah bless him and grant him peace, came out to tell us about the Night of Power. There were two Muslim men quarrelling with one another. He said, 'I came out to tell you about the Night of Power and these two here were quarrelling and because of that knowledge of it has been taken away. It may be that that is better for you. Search for it on the twenty-seventh, twenty-ninth and twenty-fifth of the month." (Muwatta, Book 19, 13)

The Virtues of I’tikaaf and the last ten days of Ramadan

I’tikaaf means staying in the mosque for a specific purpose, which is to worship Allah. It is prescribed in Islam and is Musthahab (recommended) according to the consensus of the scholars. Imam Ahmad (RA) said, as was narrated from him by Abu Dawood: “I have not heard from any of the scholars that it is anything other than Sunnah.”

Az-Zuhri said: “How strange the Muslims are! They have given up I’tikaaf, despite the fact that the Prophet, Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam, never abandoned this practice from the time he came to Madinah until his death.”

The benefits of I’tikaaf

There are many hidden benefits in the acts of worship and much wisdom behind them. The basis of all deeds is the heart, as the Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam, said: “In the body there is an organ which if it is sound, the entire body will be sound, and if it is corrupt, the entire body will be corrupt. That organ is the heart.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

What corrupts the heart most is distractions and preoccupations – such as food, drink, sex, talking too much, sleeping too much and socializing too much, and other distractions – which divert people from turning to Allah and cause the heart to be unfocused and unable to concentrate on worshipping Allah. So Allah has prescribed acts of worship, such as fasting, to protect the heart from the negative effects of these distractions. Fasting deprives a person of food and drink and sex during the day, and this denial of excessive enjoyments is reflected in the heart, which gains more strength for seeking Allah and frees it from the chains of these distractions which take a person from thinking of the Hereafter by occupying him with worldly concerns.

Just as fasting is a shield which protects the heart from the influences of physical excessive indulgence in food, drink and sex, so I’tikaaf offers an immense hidden benefit, which is protection from the effects of excessive socializing. For people may take socializing to extremes, until it has a similar effect on a person to the effects of over-eating.

I’tikaaf also offers protection from the evil consequences of talking too much, because a person usually does I’tikaaf on his own, turning to Allah by praying Qiyaam al-Layl (Standing in night for prayer), reading Quran, making Dhikr, reciting du’a, and so on.

It also offers protection from sleeping too much, because when a person makes I’tikaaf in the mosque, he devotes his time to drawing closer to Allah by doing different kinds of acts of worship; he does not stay in the mosque to sleep.

Undoubtedly a person’s success in freeing himself from socializing, talking and sleeping too much will help him to make his heart turn towards Allah, and will protect him from the opposite.

It is also permitted for women to do I’tikaaf (spiritual retreat) in a specific place in their house, whenever they have the time and are able to do so without neglecting their family duties and other responsibilities.

The same considerations would apply as in any other I’tikaaf: ones primary concern during the time should be towards worship, and unnecessary worldly activity should be avoided.

Even when one is in their monthly period, it is recommended in the Hanifa school to sit in a designated place of prayer (Mussallah) at home, after having made Wudhu, and make Dhikr for the time it takes to pray.

It is recommended for women to designate a place in their houses as their 'Masjid'. They can do I’tikaaf there at any time, even for a brief period of time, [Radd al-Muhtar] and attain the great rewards mentioned in the hadith’s for I’tikaaf (as long as they fulfil their other worldly and religious duties, as is the case for men).

1914. It is related from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, (RA) "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to do i'tikaf during the middle ten days of Ramadan. On the evening of the twentieth night when the twenty-first was approaching, he would return to his home and those who were doing i'tikaf with him returned as well. One month when he was doing i'tikaf he addressed the people on the night when he usually returned and instructed them as Allah willed. He said, 'I have been doing i'tikaf for these ten days and it has become clear to me that I should do i'tikaf for the last ten as well. Those who have been doing i'tikaf with me should remain in their place of i'tikaf. I was shown this night and then I was made to forget it, so look for it during the last ten and look for it on each odd night. I saw myself prostrating in water and mud.' That night it poured with rain and the mosque leaked onto the place where the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed. I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with my own eyes and looked at him when he left from Subh. His face was covered with mud and water."

1916. It is related that 'A'isha (RA)said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to do i'tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and he said, 'Look for the Night of Power during the last ten nights of Ramadan.'" (Muwatta, Book 19, 10)

1920. It is related that 'A'isha(RA) said, "When the last ten days started, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to gird himself and prayed during the night and woke up his family."

39. Protection of the tongue during Ramadan and throughout one’s life

1. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said: “Whosoever guarantees the protection of his tongue and private parts, and then I shall be a guarantee for his entry into Jannah”. (Mishkaat)

2. In another hadith our Nabi (Pbuh) has said: “The tongue and the private parts are the two main things that lead man to hell”. (Mishkaat)

From these two ahadith it becomes clear of how important it really is that one controls ones tongue and safeguards it from sin. If one safeguards his tongue and private parts then
Rasulallah has promised them salvation.

The following is a list of sins of the tongue which one should refrain from during Ramadan and throughout one’s life so one can save oneself from destruction:

1. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “When man speaks lies, then the angels of mercy, due to the foul smell emanating from his mouth go a mile away (from the liar).” (Mishkaat)

2. Rasulallah (Pbuh) forbade the calling of a child by falsely promising him something: e.g. a mother’s calling a child with words. “Come and take this” (Whilst she has nothing in her
hand). Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said that to do so would result in a lie being written down for the
person on their account.

3. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “That person who falsely claims ownership of anything which is not his is like a person who has worn two garments (of lies)” (Mishkaat) I.e. from head to toe he has covered himself in lies.

4. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has forbidden a person from being harsh and abusive. Some Jews sought
permission to see Rasulallah (Pbuh) and they greeted him with the words “Assamu Alaikum”, instead of “Asalaamu Alaikum”. The meaning of the former words is “death be upon you”instead of the traditional Islamic greeting which means “Peace be upon you”.

Hadhrat A’isha (RA) hearing this replied: “Upon you be death and curse.” Rasulallah (Pbuh) stopped her and said it is sufficient to say ”and upon you too.”

5. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has prohibited from cursing one another and has also prohibited women
from being ungrateful to their husbands.

6. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “Whosoever curses one another when such curse does not befit that person; such a curse then falls upon the one who cursed”. (Tirmidhi)

7. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “Those who curse shall not be given permission on that day of Qiyaamah to intercede”. (Muslim)

8. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has prohibited swearing at one another. (Muslim)

9. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said: “The sin of those who swear at one another is upon that person who commenced (such swearing) as long as the other person does not exceed or out swear the first person”. (Mishkaat)

10. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said that amongst the major sins is to swear at one’s parents. (Muslim)

11. The Qur’an prohibits us from swearing even at the idols of the Mushriks (Idolaters):“And do not swear those that call upon deities besides Allah (i.e. the idols), for they (the
mushrikeen) will swear Allah out of enmity (and retribution), without having knowledge.”
(Surah An’aam Aayat 108)

12. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has prohibited us from swearing at the dead and thus cause harm to the
living. (Tirmidhi)

Note: Apart from using harsh and vulgar words, swearing also includes mild words like
calling someone “a Donkey, or miser”, etc or implying that they are fat, or ugly or have a big nose or ears etc anything which may cause another hurt is a sin and one should ask the
person whom one caused hurt to for forgiveness lest they get revenge on the day of
judgement by taking ones good deeds or putting their bad deeds onto the account of the
insulter.

13. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said: “Whosoever calls another kaafir (non believer) or enemy of Allah, or sinner and such an insult does not apply or befit the one who is insulted then such
an insult applies to the one who insulted in the first places”. (Mishkaat)

14. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “That person who sows discord (Creates friction or starts trouble or a fight) between people by carrying rumours or tales is the worst of Allah’s slaves”.

15. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “An offensive take bearer shall not enter Jannah.”

16. “Gheebat” – Backbiting (I.e. speaking bad of another in his absence is life eating the flesh of ones dead brother:

Almighty Allah says in the Holy Quran:

O you who have believed, avoid much suspicion, for some suspicions are sins. Do not spy,
nor should any one backbite the other. Is there any among you who would like to eat the
flesh of his dead brother?' Nay, you yourselves abhor it. Fear Allah, for Allah is Acceptor of
repentance and All-Merciful. (49:12)

17. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “Gheebat (Backbiting) is worse than adultery.” (Mishkaat)

18. One should refrain from:

(a) Imitating another’s fault
(b) Pointing out another’s fault
(c) Writing out another’s fault

As all of these are tantamount to Gheebat (Backbiting)

19. Rasulallah (Pbuh) said: Allah shall help in the world and the hereafter the one who defends the one who is backbitten.” (Mishkaat)

20. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “Allah shall take to task in this world and in the hereafter, that person who (despite having the ability to defend one who is backbitten) did not do so.” (Mishkaat)

21. It is haraam (forbidden) to listen to Gheebat (backbiting)

22. Those who backbite shall in the hereafter themselves peel the flesh and skin off their
faces and chest with copper nails. (Mishkaat)

23. It is necessary to ask for forgiveness of one whom one has spoken ill about or even
heard another speaking ill about. If one is unable to meet such person then one should
personally request his forgiveness by writing to him. If the person that one harmed has
passed away then one should seek forgiveness in abundance on his behalf, from Almighty
Allah.

24. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has prohibited from accusing another falsely (or without proof or
evidence). (Mishkaat)

25. It is prohibited to find fault with another’s height or physical appearance or his manner of
speaking – even though such disabilities exist within such person.

26. Hadhrat A’isha (RA) narrates that she told Rasulallah(Pbuh) that it is enough for her to say
(Concerning Saffiyah ) that she is very short. Rasulallah (Pbuh) stopped her saying: “If what you have said now is mixed with the waters of the ocean then it would spoil such water.” (Abu Dawud)

27. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has prohibited praising another in his presence. (Mishkaat)

28. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “If anyone has to praise another then one should add (after such praise) that Allah alone knows the true conditions and Allah alone shall take account (in
Qiyaamah).” (Mishkaat)

29. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said: “When a kaafir or a sinner is praised then Allah gets angry.” (Baihaqi)

30. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said that taking false oaths is a major sin. (Mishkaat)

31. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said that whosoever has taken a qasm (oath) of Allah and then
included in his talk a falsehood equivalent to the wing of a mosquito then such a qasm shall
become a black spot in his heart which shall stay until Qiyaamah. (Tirmidhi)

32. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said: “Whosoever obtains the wealth of his brother by means of false oaths is making his abode in Hell.” (Attargheeb)

33. Rasulallah(Pbuh) has said: “The taking of false oaths (Qasm) has been likened to joining partners to Allah.” (Mishkaat)

Note: It is haraam (forbidden) to take the Qasm of anything besides Allah.

Rasulallah (Pbuh) has prohibited such poetry and singing which arouses passions, desires, and
lust and in which are words of kufr or which are accompanied by music.

May Allah grant each and every one of us the ability of using our tongues in the correct manner and forgive each and every one of our sins whether minor or major intentional or
unintentional. Ameen

We should use our tongues to remember and glorify Allah night and day.

Dhikr is a cleanser (purifier) of the heart. (Baihaqi)

1. The remembrance of Allah just as in is about to sleep shall be a means of that person
achieving high stages in Jannah. (Attargheeb)

2. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has stated that whosoever goes to bed in a state of purity (i.e. Wudhu) and
such a person remembers Almighty Allah until he falls asleep then, whatever dua such a
person makes (whether pertaining to this world or the next) while asleep and turning side to
side, such dua’s shall certainly be granted to him by Almighty Allah. (Mishkaat)

3. Rasulallah (Pbuh) has said that whosoever sits or lies down at a given spot or walks between
two points, but for the duration of his sitting, standing and walking he does not remember
Allah even once and then such an activity (lying, sitting, standing or walking) shall, for that person, be a means of loss and hardships. (Attargheeb)

Note: So we should try to remember Allah no matter what we are doing

40. The Sunnah’s of Eid Ul Adha and Eid ul Fitr

1. To awaken earlier than usual
2. To brush the teeth with Miswaak
3. To have a bath (Ghusl)
4. To be well dressed in an Islamic manner
5. To be dressed in one’s best clothes (Doesn’t necessarily have to be new)

Note: Care should be taken that one does not incur debts or transgress the limits of modesty
on such clothes as is seen in the Muslim communities of today. Many of our brothers are
seen with unsuitable haircuts and clothing imitating the kufaar and many of our sisters are
seen out and about all ‘dolled up’ attracting the attention of non mahram’s. What would
happen if those brothers and sisters were to die in that state? May Allah save us from this
evil and fitna.

6. To use Attar (Perfume)

7. To perform Eid Salah at the Eidgah (An open ground)

8. Avoid eating before Eid Salah on the day of Eid ul Adha and to eat an odd number of
dates or anything sweet on the day of Eid ul Fitr

9. To go to the place of Eid Salah early

10. To walk to the place of Eid Salah (If it is within walking distance because every step is
reward)

11. To read aloud “Takbeerat” on the way to the place of prayer for Eid-ul-Adha and silently for Eid-ul-Fitr:

“Allaahu Akbar Allaahu Akbar Laa ilaaha illallaahu Wallaahu Akbar walillaahil hamd”.

12. To use different routes to and from the place of Eid Salaah

13. To frequently read the takbeers (Loudly for Eid Ul Adha and softly for Eid ul Fitr)

14. To pray the Eid-Ul-Fitr prayer later and the Eid-ul-Adha earlier.

15. To read two rak’ahs Waajib Salaatul Eidain without any Adhaan or Iqaamah

16. It is forbidden to pray Nafil prayer before or after the prayer.

17. To read the two rak’ahs Nafl prayer on reaching home.

18. During Eid Salaah, in the first rak’ah, Rasulallah would recite Surah Ala (no. 87) and
Suratul Ghathia (No. 88) in the second rak’ah.

19. Reciting these Sura’s in the Eid prayer should not be regarded as obligatory for other
Sura’s may also be recited.

20. When Rasulallah (Pbuh) completed the prayer of Salaatul Eidain he would stand facing the
people who were seated in their rows and deliver a khutba issuing instructions and
commanding them to do good. If he intended to send an army he did so and likewise issued
any special orders he wished to.

21. The Khutba was delivered after the Eid Salaah

22. During both the khutba’s of Eid Rasulallah used to recite the Takbeerat frequently

23. The khutba of both Eids are Sunnah but to listen to them is Waajib. It is totally prohibited
(Haraam) to walk around, talk or even read Salaah whilst the khutba is in progress.

24. To shake hands and hug one another on happy occasions is Mubaah (permissible). The
general principle of a Mubaah act is not to regard the act as compulsory as that projects a
wrong image of Deen. Furthermore, people should not regard the meeting on the day of Eid
as compulsory and an inseparable part of the occasion.

25. The greeting on Eid: Jabyr ibn Nufayr (RA) said: 'When the companions of Allah's
Messenger met on the day of Eid, they would say to each other, 'Taqaballahu minna
wa mink (May Allah accept from us and you)." [Al Mahamiliyyat; hasan isnad; see Fath ul
Bari 2:446]

May Almighty Allah give us the ability to act upon these Sunnah in the blessed month of Ramadan and for us to implement these Sunnah throughout the year and every day of our lives so that we may please Allah. Ameen

Ramadan Tips for Healthy Eating and Exercising

A proper diet and exercise plan are more important than ever during Ramadan, health experts say.
An Emirati personal trainer, Hamdan Khouri of Haddins Fitness in Abu Dhabi, will fast this Ramadan. He plans to swap shifts with colleagues so he can exercise with clients at night.

While he said he was more than happy to train non-fasting clients during daylight hours, he will not work out during these sessions.

"I would never exercise while fasting. You can't train on an empty stomach," he said.

Mr Khouri said Ramadan was a time of sacrifice and that while people might not be able to improve their fitness, they should at least try to maintain it.

He believes good fitness is 30 per cent exercise and 70 per cent nutrition. With this in mind, Mr Khouri said people had to sacrifice some heavy weightlifting during Ramadan because their muscles do not receive enough protein or nutrition regularly throughout the day.

"It's more difficult in Ramadan but you don't want to break consistency," he said. "If you're eating smart and training smart, that's the best you can do.

"You want to avoid having one big meal, and eating it quickly, because you need to let your metabolism and digestive system activate. It's better to spread out your food groups and eat slowly."

For people who want to exercise after iftar, Mr Khouri said they should eat carbs and sugar while breaking the fast, to replenish burnt fat.

However, after the gym, he said people should eat lean proteins; ideally white fish and strictly no carbs before bed.

He also recommended people switch to healthier alternatives, such as replacing sunflower oil with coconut oil and eating organic foods.

A Dubai-based nutritionist, Rashi Chowdhary, agreed that the holy month was a good opportunity for people to detox and improve their eating habits.

She said eating a combination of whole-grain carbohydrates with lean protein for suhoor would delay hunger pangs and provide longer sustenance.

Iftar meals should consist of only one carbohydrate, with protein-rich foods to counteract lean muscle loss.

Ms Chowdhary also recommended natural laxatives, such as prune juice, to avoid digestive problems caused by dramatic shifts in eating habits.

Dr Maged Shurrab, a specialist family physician at Dubai's Al Tadawi Medical Centre, said not everybody should, or could, fast. "We need to take into account people's ages and if they have any medical conditions," he said.

He said people could either exercise before suhoor or after iftar but that exercising while fasting was "dangerous" and "unacceptable".

"If people want to exercise before their suhoor meal, they shouldn't do it for more than 30 minutes. If they want to do it after iftar, they should wait three hours after eating because the body needs time to digest," he said.

Hamza Ayyad, the fitness centre manager at Burjeel Hospital, said humans bodies burn glycogen when they fast or exercise. He said this glycogen releases energy and is important to replace with a small, but 70 per cent carb, iftar and then continue to eat small portions thereafter.

He also stated the importance of avoiding dehydration and said fasters should drink 2.5l of water between iftar and before going to sleep. It is recommended that people drink 35ml of water per kg of body weight, and drink it over a period of time.

Mr Ayyad added: "There are two types of people who exercise in Ramadan. Some of them are already fit and want to maintain their fitness. They can just wait awhile after iftar and do their ordinary routine.

"The other type wants to use Ramadan to lose weight. Some work out during their fast because they think they'll burn more calories - but that's a mistake because they just end up burning muscle. After iftar, they should just do between 45 minutes to an hour of cardio."

“A household which has vinegar will never suffer from poverty”.
(Narrated by Umm, Tirmidhi, Baihaqi)

"Vinegar is a comfort for man” Narrated by Muslim.

“Allah has put blessing in vinegar, for truly it was used by the Prophets before me.”
Narrated by Ayesha, Muslim and Ibn Maja.

‘The best of condiments or condiment is vinegar’. hadith
condiment is any seasonings used to enhance the flavour of food; salt or pepper, spices for example.

The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) was reported to have once remarked that vinegar was the seasoning of all the prophets who came before him.

Prophet Muhammad (saws) liked vinegar.

Jabir narrated, "The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, took me one day with him to his house. He was served some bread. He asked: 'Is there any dip?' They replied 'No, only some vinegar.' He said, 'Vinegar is a good dip.'

Jabir used to say, "I have loved vinegar since I heard it from Allah’s Prophet".

Naf'a said, "I have loved vinegar since I heard it from Jabir."
[Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i]

Just in case your thinking Vinegar is a Halal and a loved Sunnah and was used by many prophets before.

As soon as you take vinegar (or citric acid, as a powder), it starts to eliminate fatigue. You can notice this in only two hours.

You can confirm this. If you look at your urine two hours after you take vinegar, and you will find it to be more clear. Or, if you are unwilling to look at it closely, examine it with a piece of pH test paper (litmus paper). Before you take vinegar, the pH test paper will show that your urine is acidic, due to fatigue-creating substances in your body.

Two hours after you take vinegar, the test paper will show more alkaline. These results mean that the previous fatigue substances were decreased or removed by taking the vinegar.

The liver dissolves the poisonous matters which were made in our body, so we must always keep it working well. Meat, fish, eggs, coconut oil, greens, and other nourishing foods as well as vinegar act like medicines for the liver.

Some Eastern medicines do believe that depression is the symptom of a "stagnant" or tired liver. If you believe in this philosophy, then apple cider vinegar would help to fight depression, since it is a great medium to help detoxify and clean the liver.

Over the centuries, oxymel– a combination of apple cider vinegar and honey – has been widely used to dissolve painful calcium deposits in the body, for arthritis-like pains and for other health problems such as hay fever.

"Vinegar performs the role of disinfectant for the intestines".

Here is one recipe to make a detox tea with apple cider vinegar just add hot water to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and sweeten it with maple syrup or organic honey. Making this simple apple cider vinegar liver detox recipe will take only a few minutes with results lasting three to seven days.

A variation of the above apple cider vinegar liver detox recipe calls for a teaspoon each of apple cider vinegar and blackstrap molasses added to a glass of water or lemon water. Drink this mixture upon getting up in the morning.

To soothe pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis by applying a pad soaked with vinegar and water to painful joints.

Some people advise it to be used for gargle for the mouth and throat. It disinfects the inside of the mouth from germs. The usual dosage for gargle is to mix one to three tea spoons of cider vinegar in a glass of water, in morning and at night."

Note: The term ACV = Apple Cider Vinegar

Arthritic pains:
Many suffer from this disease in the west and it is caused by the gathering of metabolic toxic waste in the tissues. In this context, ACV speeds up metabolism and excretes the toxic wastes from the tissues.

Blood pressure:
The potassium in ACV along with other substances makes the blood thinner and is helpful in controlling blood pressure.

Cholesterol control:
Many heart attacks are caused by high fats and cholesterol in your blood. The fiber in ACV helps to absorb fats and cholesterol by expelling them from the body as waste materials.

Diabetes:
The dietary fiber in ACV is also helpful in controlling glucose levels in the blood..

Strong Bones:
Minerals like manganese, calcium, magnesium, silicon and iron develop bone mass and make them stronger.

Yeast Infections:
ACV is also useful for yeast infections like Candida caused by the unbalance of acid levels in the body. Making a solution of ACV in warm water and douching can help with the symptoms.

Chest congestion:
Apple cider vinegar is also useful in flu or chest congestion. Applying ACV with pepper on the chest can help relieve some of the congestion.

Sore Throat:
If you have a sore throat, gargle with ACV mixed with water.

Digestion:
In your digestive system hydrochloric acid and pepsin are two essential components that break down the food to be digested properly. The lack of these components can cause food poisoning. ACV has ability to enhance their functionality and help prevent food poisoning.

Nasal Congestions:
Apple cider vinegar is sometimes helpful in nasal congestion.

Vinegar is Useful in well functioning metabolism; Reducing cholesterol (the dangerous LDL cholesterol type); Regulating the water content in the cells and body; Reducing water retention in the body; Reducing excess sodium from the body; Helps with regulating blood pressure; Assists in preventing circulatory problems; Helps with diminishing premature calcification of the arteries; Helps increase concentration and memory; Assists in blood circulation, body temperature as well as vitality and energy.

Vinegar is both cold and hot, nearly balancing between the two. Mixed it with rose water, it is an excellent remedy for toothache and headache. Vinegar dissolves phlegm. Modern medicine also acknowledge its anti-cough, anti-inflammation and digestive properties.

We always have to remember that cider vinegar will not have the same effect on everyone. Some may benefit from it and some may not. Very few people may be allergic to vinegar. Nevertheless vinegar is beneficial for the majority of people.

As we sort through the wisdoms of Prophetic nutrition in our attempt to reconcile them with modern "science," we must always remember what the Qur’an says, “Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance, but commit no excess therein." (20:81)

Apple cider vinegar contains ninety different substances.

It also contains important minerals, trace elements and vitamins (as listed underneath) as well acetic acid, propionic acid, lactic acid, enzymes, amino acids as well as roughage in the form of potash and apple pectin.

By: Dr. Lai Chiu Nan

It has worked for many. If it works for you please pass on the good news. Dr. Lai is not charging for it, so we should make it free for everyone. Your reward is when someone, through your word of mouth, benefits from the regime. Gallstones may not be everyone's concern. But they should be because we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer. "Cancer is never the first illness," Dr. Lai points out. "Usually, there are a lot of other problems leading to cancer.

In my research in China , I came across some materials which say that people with cancer usually have stones. We all have gallstones. It's a matter of big or small, many or few.

One of the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal. You feel like you can't digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area." So if you think you have gallstones, Dr. Lai offers the following method to remove them naturally.

The treatment is also good for those with a weak liver, because the liver and gallbladder are closely linked.

Regimen:

1. For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day. Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the five days, eat normally.

2. On the sixth day, take no dinner.

3. At 6 PM, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water.

4. At 8 PM, repeat the same. Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.

5. At 10 PM, take half cup olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage.

The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. "Usually they float," Chiu Nan notes. "You might want to count them. I have had people who passes 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. Very many."

"Even if you don't have any symptom s of gallstones, you still might have some. It's always good to give your gall bladder a clean-up now and then.

6 Ways to Help the Angry Child

While no person or no family can be anger-proof there are ways you can help your child get a handle on anger.

1. Help your child have inner peace
Research has shown, and our experience supports the observation, that connected children and their parents get angry with each other less. The connected child, growing up with a sense of well- being, has peaceful modeling. He will get angry, but he learns to handle the anger in such a way that it does not take over his personality. Connected parents know their children well, so they are less likely to create situations that provoke them and their children to anger. Attached parents know they don't have to be harsh to be in control.

The unconnected child operates from inner turmoil. Down deep this child feels something important is missing in his self and he is angry about it. (This feeling may continue into adulthood.) This void is likely to reveal itself as anger toward himself and parents, placing everyone at risk for becoming an angry family.

2. Don't let your child stuff anger
Encourage your child to recognize when he is angry, starting with the toddler. Be an attentive listener, helping your child work through feelings. Given a willing audience that shows empathy rather than judgment, children will often talk themselves out of their snits. Our eight-year-old, Matthew, insisted on watching a certain TV program. I disagreed, and he became angry. Matt felt that he absolutely had to watch the program. I felt that the program content was harmful to his growing self and to family harmony. I listened attentively and nonjudgmentally while Matt pleaded his case. After he had made his appeal, I made mine. With calm authority, I made my own points, while conveying to Matt that I understood but did not agree with his viewpoint. I asked him probing questions, such as: "What about the program is so important to you?" "Could you think of an activity that is more fun than watching this program?" "Matt, do you understand why I don't want you to watch it?" "Are you just bored? If so, I have an idea..." Gradually Matt realized that this program was not worth getting so worked up about. As the dialogue continued, his eyes dried and his reddened face relaxed. I'm sure his pulse rate was coming down, too. We ended this encounter with a chuckle about how he had let such a stupid program upset him. We went out and played catch instead.

 3. Look beneath the "bad" kid
The habitually misbehaving child is usually an angry child. If your child seems "bad" all the time or you "don't know what else to do" or your child seems withdrawn, search beneath the surface for something that is angering your child. In counseling parents of these children, I have found two causes: Either there is a lot of family anger – mother and/or father is on edge all the time and the child incorporates these feelings as part of himself; or the child feels angry because his sense of well- being is threatened. Helping children who misbehave repeatedly or seem "bad" more than "good" usually begins with a total family overhaul. Take inventory of the influences in your child's life. What builds up his self-esteem? What tears it down? What needs are not being met? What inner anxiety is at the root of the anger? Anger is only the tip of the iceberg, and it warns of needs to be dealt with beneath the surface.

Inner anger often causes a child to withdraw. In a struggle to ward off attacks on a shaky self-image, this child puts on a protective shell. On the surface he may seem calm, but underneath a tight lid is a pressure cooker of emotions needing to be channeled or recognized. To keep the lid on, the child withdraws, avoiding interaction that might set him off. This is why we advise getting behind the eyes and into the mind of your child – things may look different from that perspective.

It's devastating for a child to feel that she is a "bad kid." Unless that feeling is reversed, the child grows up acting the part. To get the "bad" feeling out of your child, intervene with a reassuring "You're not bad, you're just young, and young people sometimes do foolish things. But Daddy is going to help you stop doing them so you will grow up feeling like you are the nice person I know you are." This sends a message to your child that you care enough to find the good child beneath the bad behavior.

4. Laughter – the best medicine for anger
Humor diffuses anger and keeps trivial upsets from escalating. Our kids love spaghetti – the messier the sauce, the more they love it. Once at dinner we left the older kids in charge of the two- and five-year-old, who were dawdling over their messy meal. As often happens in large families, the oldest child delegated responsibility to the next oldest and so on down the line: "You watch the kids…" Lauren and Stephen were ultimately left unsupervised, and a spaghetti frenzy ensued. When we discovered the stringy mess we scolded the older kids for allowing it to happen. While we yelled at them, they yelled at each other. Lauren and Stephen peered up at their angry elders, sauce covering their cheeks and foreheads and spaghetti in their hair. We all began to laugh, and worked together, in good spirits, to clean up the kids and the mess. Now when we delegate authority, we're more careful to be sure the appropriate-aged child really is on duty.

 5. Model appropriate expressions of anger
Anger that is expressed inappropriately blocks your ability to discipline wisely. For example, your four-year-old does something stupid. She covers the dog with spaghetti sauce, and the dog bounds off into the living room leaving orange-red paw prints on the white carpeting. This is not the time to blow your top. The more aggravating the deed, the more you need a clear head to evaluate your options in handling the misbehavior. Each situation is different, and you must be able to think straight to choose the reaction that best fits the action. Being in a state of rage clouds your thinking. Your unthinking expressions of anger cause the situation to escalate. You hit the dog (which causes him to run through more rooms leaving more sauce behind); you spank the child and send him to his room (which leaves you, still seething, to clean up the mess alone). By the time the episode is over everyone feels abused. An approach less draining on everyone requires a level head and a dose of humor: quickly grab the dog and head for the bath tub, calling for your child to come along (in the most cheerful voice possible) to help de-sauce the dog and then the rug. Your child learns how you handle a crisis and how much work it is to clean up a mess. A temper tantrum from you can't undo the childish mess, it can only add to it.

Anger puts a barrier between parents and child. Our children taught us this lesson. We saw a distance developing between us and our seventeen-year-old, Peter. We weren't communicating comfortably with each other. Our then fourteen- year-old daughter said, "He stays in his room to escape the yelling. He's afraid you'll get angry and yell." We hadn't thought of ourselves as an angry, yelling family, but Peter felt we were and so he recoiled from family interaction to preserve his peaceful self. This quote from Hayden explains in a nutshell why anger creates distance, especially in a child like Peter, who has a laid-back temperament. Hayden's openness prompted us to reevaluate our show of emotions. We called a family meeting, acknowledged that yelling seemed to be a problem we needed to deal with, apologized for this failing, and discussed how that would change.

Also, we wanted our children to feel comfortable approaching us, no matter what they had done or how they felt. So we promised to eliminate the fear factor: "Here's the deal. Your mom and I promise not to yell at you as long as you talk to us. We will listen calmly to anything you tell us. We will not yell." This did not happen overnight, and we still "blow it" from time to time. When this happens, we apologize and move on. Displays of anger scare children and put them on the defensive. They will either retreat into a protective shell or grow to have an angry personality themselves. Once we removed the barrier of fear, Peter came out of his room. And we continue to work on our communication. We've learned to calmly say, "I get angry when you..." Children and spouses need to know what makes you angry. They don't need to have your anger spewed all over them.

Small children are devastated by the sight of big, scary, out-of-control daddy or raging mommy. They fear that the parent will stop loving them, hurt them, or leave. You don't want your child to have to squelch the flow of his normal feelings because he's frightened of what he might set off in you. Adults should be responsible for controlling themselves. The child should not be put in a position where he starts to feel responsible for controlling your rage. This sets up very dysfunctional patterns as your child grows. If your anger is out of control and scaring your child, seek help! You need to learn that it is not wrong to feel angry, even as an adult (remember—you have a heartbeat). Unfortunately, many of us as children were taught that anger is bad, sinful, or very frightening. Anger itself is not right or wrong—it is a normal response. It's what we do with anger that can be very wrong. Staying calm in the face of any feeling (anger, fear, even love) is a measure of emotional maturity. Your child will learn how to handle his anger by watching you. Our goal is to acknowledge and communicate our feelings (so our children know we are real people) and at the same time model to them the kind of real people we want them to become.

If you and your child have a healthy relationship, you don't have to worry that an occasional emotional outburst will harm your child. In fact, it's healthy for a child to know you're annoyed or angry. Honest communication sometimes requires honest anger that does not frighten or shame the child. Here is how one mother (she and her child have a healthy attachment) used healthy anger to get through to her child:

Discipline story. When my son was three, I was totally exasperated with his behavior one day. He was in what my husband and I call "a dip" -- a temporary low spot in maturity and judgment on his life road. He was being exceptionally testing that day, and after repeated time-outs, which apparently meant nothing to him, exile to his room was the next step. I sat him on his bed. He raced me to the door. I tried it again a bit more firmly (as though there was some sort of adhesive on his pants that wasn't working properly). He did the same thing again (of course). I sat him on the bed again, a little too firmly, I felt, and was angry at myself. I sat on the bed with him, and was angry clear through, so I said very loudly, "Listen! Do you think this is a fun game for me? It isn't! In fact, I hate it! Do you know why I am here! Do you know why I'm going to keep it up until you get it right? Because I love you, and I'm not just going to stand by and watch you grow up and act like a jerk!" I was livid and couldn't even stop myself from shouting the words, "I love you" in total anger.
But when Sammy heard the word "jerk" he laughed. It wasn't a giddy what's- going-to-happen-to-me-now kind of laugh, it was a sincere giggle at something funny. I realized then that he had never heard the word 'jerk' before. What did he think it meant? Taken literally, I suppose it must have conjured up a pretty comical mental picture. This little levity, though, gave us the needed opportunity to talk calmly and resolve the issue with quiet 'I love you's' and hugs, then he completed the required time-out in his room, followed by more love and hugs.

My point in relating this story is you can read all you want about how to teach your children what is right, but in the heat of the battle when your wits are at their end, you're going to revert to just being yourself and saying what you think on a gut level. This is risky, of course, and potentially damaging if it gets out of hand. Yet when your relationship with your child is based on a solid attachment, letting yourself go will most often work to your advantage. Sometimes sincerity is the only thing that will penetrate even the toughest brick wall that stubborn children set up.

6. Lighten up the perfectionist
Children need to learn that it's all right to goof. You can lighten up the uptight child by modeling ways to handle mistakes. You spill your coffee, you laugh it off, "I guess I win the Mr. Messy award today." You don't rant and rave when you leave the shopping list at home. Children learn that adults mess up, too. It's all right to mess up and it's normal not to be perfect. This is especially true of the perfectionist who may feel that approval—and therefore his value—depends on error-free living at home and at school. We realized that Matthew was very hard on himself when he didn't get a task done perfectly at home or at school. We realized he was picking up on our tendency to become angry at our own mistakes. once he saw us lightening up on ourselves, he lightened up on himself. Mistakes are a good way to learn, and we do a lot of learning in our family. When one of us makes a mistake, someone is sure to comment: "Now, what can we learn from this situation?" If the anger button gets pushed this won't work. Be careful not to react in an angry way when someone spills his milk or tears his pants. Just say, "Now what can we learn from this?" Then, maybe even have a laugh over it. The laugh part will take a lot of work, though, if you were punished angrily for every mistake you made as a child.

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do what some call turning to sugar. Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes in the honey. Make sure your honey is untreated, unprocessed and not heated, in other words get as raw as possible. This will have the greatest benefit. Caution too much honey of any kind is not good for the body. But a little bit will help some of the following conditions.

Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists:

ARTHRITIS: Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University , it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS: Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

CHOLESTEROL: Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses. To make it lukewarm, place it in a small jar and let it set in warm water for awhile.

HEART DISEASES: Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack.

Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.

UPSET STOMACH: Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

GAS: According to the studies done in India and Japan , it is revealed that if Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM: Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION: Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.

INFLUENZA – FLU: A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ' Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY: Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take four spoons of honey, one spoon of cinnamon powder, and three cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans also increase and even a 100 year old might start performing the chores of a 20-year-old.

PIMPLES: Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.

WEIGHT LOSS: Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder. Pour boiling into one cup of water of honey and cinnamon. Generally start off with a teaspoon of each, and then adjust depending on taste. Remember honey is a sugar based product, so teaspoon is best to start with. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

SKIN INFECTIONS: Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

FATIGUE: Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens, who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts, are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M. when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week.

CANCER: Research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month three times a day.

BAD BREATH: People in South America first thing in the morning, gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING LOSS: Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts helps restore hearing.

CONCLUSION: It is good to take some sort of mixture of cinnamon and honey daily!

3. Miscarriage : Women who are Eating instant noodles during their pregnancy causes miscarriage, because it affect the development of a foetus.

4. Junk Food : instant noodles are enriched with full of carbohydrates, but no vitamins, fiber and minerals. This makes the instant noodles considered as a junk food.

5. Sodium : Instant noodles are power packed with high amounts of sodium. Excess consumption of sodium leads to heart disease, stroke, hypertension and kidney damage.

6. MSG : Monosodium Glutamate is used to enhance the flavour of instant noodles. People who are allergic to MSG consume it as part of their diet, then they end up suffering from headaches, facial flushing, pain, burning sensations.

7. Overweight : Eating Noodles is the leading cause of obesity. Noodles contains fat and large amounts of sodium, which causes water retention in the body and surely it leads to overweight.

8. Digestion : Instant noodles are bad for digestive system. Regular consumption of instant noodles causes irregular bowl movements and bloating.

9. Propylene Glycol : The ingredient in the instant noodles called "Propylene Glycol" which has a anti-freeze property. This ingredient is used because it prevents the noodles from drying by retaining moisture. It weakens the immune system of our body. It is easily absorbed by the body and it accumulates in the kidneys, heart and liver. It causes abnormalities and damage to those areas.

10. Metabolism : Regular consumption of instant noodles affect the body's metabolism, because of the chemical substances like additives, coloring and preservatives inside the noodles.

What is Wazifa, and How It Works

$

Plural 'Wazaif'. Wazifa is the repetition of words, clauses, and sentences i.e., Names of Allah, Names of Beloved Prophet, Peace be upon Him, or other notions which were performed by Aulia Allah. These wazaif have powerful capability to transform one's self, circumstances, or even chemistry of the things. Every single sound which is uttered from the mouth has shape, form, and magnetic field. The 'Intention of the Mind' is the Powerhouse to drive the magnetic fields.

In addition to intention the Words of God have their own divine forces (mostly are unknown to mankind). When ordered in specific numbers, these wazaif create specific forms to create fields which are stronger than the object's or persons's own magnetic field, thus, applying required modifications by force. Some wazaifs' fields are so intense that the required goal is achieved almost instantly. Other wazaifs' effects take some time to come into manifestation.

The physical issues as well as spiritual issues all have their places, colors, and frequency in Body's bio-magnetic field or 'Aura' and they all have related magnetic/auric zones (after the death, when the human lives as magnetic field (auric body), these spiritual issues of Aura are still present and disturb even there. Their treatment in this world is necessary.)

Because the 'Intension' behind these 'spells' is the foundation of this whole phenomenon. It will be judged that 'WHO' is performing the Wazifa. The performance of the Wali Allah could be a million times more stronger than the one from general public. The more person's intention is pure and stronger, the quicker and with greater force the effect will be achieved. In other words, if one is not Wali Allah, but the circumstances are such that the intention of a person is greater and purest i.e., near death, the force of wazifa will be stronger accordingly.

Some Wazaif are extremely strong and requires you to properly ground the 'current', therefore you must be part of some Silsila (which shall act as a grounding system) and have proper permission to perform these special Wazaif, otherwise the results could be catastrophic. In case one has performed them without permission, should immediately start Darood Shareef and stop all other wazaif. Darood Shareef acts like first aid in grounding the excessive charge created by strong wazaif.

In Japan such experiments are accomplished in labs where some words are spoken on water, and water changes its shape of crystals. These words can be 'blessed-ones' or 'evil-ones'. And keeping in mind that human's 90% body is composed of water.

In Quantum Theory, the Observer effect is a good description how the Wazaif work. The Observer is the entity, when observes, creates the Universe, and then observes it. If there is no Observer, there isn't a thing at all.

What is Pendulum Dowsing, and How To Use A Pendulum

$

A dowsing pendulum is an object suspended by a cord, used for obtaining information which the normal senses are unable to access on a conscious  level. You could improvise with an everyday object, such as a pendant, a chain, a plumb bob or a  ring on a thread. However, a purpose made pendulum is best because it has a  shape and geometry, that is, a symmetry. This allows the swing to be more even and, more sensitive and therefore more effective. The pendulum, as an extension of the person using it,  may be influenced both consciously and subconsciously making the responses accurate as well as inaccurate. Wishful thinking or a preconceived outcome, however slight, can be magnified making the use of the pendulum in that instance ineffective. The user  must take steps to prevent this. Insufficiently specific questioning can result in senseless responses.

THOUGHT  -  Is wishful thinking constructive or destructive?

THOUGHT  -  An experience is a reality. TRUE or FALSE?

What is a pendulum for?

A dowsing pendulum is a tool used for obtaining information from beyond normal consciousness. It helps to tap into the Higher Self and enhance intuition. There are various theories about how and why the pendulum works, and why better for some than others. There is no magic involved. Dowsing utilises the natural process of tuning-in to the Higher Self. When we are too engrossed in everyday life and materialistic worries, our powers of intuition diminish. The intuition we had as children diminishes with age in most of us as a result of ‘modern living’ and negative programming. We forget who we are. We lose the ability to listen to the Higher Self. There are different techniques to  reconnect with the Higher Self, and using the pendulum is one of these. As you become more proficient or adept, the intuition becomes so strong that you begin to know. To increase awareness and raise the  consciousness is to make that connection to the Higher Self. The  pendulum can be used in healing, energy balancing, detecting imbalances in energy fields, finding missing objects and other uses.

THOUGHT  -  Healing can take place when a shift in consciousness occurs in the recipient, which is also accompanied by a shift in consciousness in the practitioner.

THOUGHT  -  Remember the memory.

Does it matter what the pendulum is made from?

Yes, and to some extent no. It also depends on the person using the pendulum as well as the purpose, or intention of the dowser. To obtain a simple yes or no response, it should not matter. On the one hand it is the mental state of the dowser that can influence the pendulum and so the result. On the other hand it can be the material composition of the pendulum and the design, which can influence the result. This property, the shape, form, design can be used to advantage in analytical dowsing as well as in healing. This is where energy pendulums become special pendulums for more specific functions.

THOUGHT - What is the colour and pattern of your wallpaper or carpet. What does it do to your living environment?

THOUGHT - What effect does a pattern have on me or someone else?

What is an energy pendulum?

An energy pendulum is basically an energy device on a cord, and is used in a specified manner as a pendulum. It is popularly called a radionic pendulum. [RADIONICS: The word radionics has been used in different contexts and generally relates to healing at a distance using instruments. In some parts of the world it is described as psionics. Whichever word is used to describe it, the mental input of the user is required. Traditionally a black-box type of instrument is used in medical radionics. Over more recent years the term radionics has been used in other forms of energy dowsing and also attributed to some pendulums. The term radiesthetic pendulum may well describe energy pendulums also. If however, the device has the ability to be reset as with a dial or equivalent, or recharging or charging, as for example in the case of the Mermet pendulum and Isis pendulum then it can fall into the broad term of a radionic pendulum. The Universal Pendulum is one such device, which combines the 'black  box' principles with a pendulum]

Energy pendulums are constructed by observing the principle of the natural radiation of matter and geometric form. Geometry, and symmetry can be seen in the design of an energy pendulum as a whole, as well as in the structure of the materials used such as crystals and minerals. A pendulum with a cavity may also be given a geometry or design through the make-up of the sample placed within it. Homoeopaths utilise this principle to great advantage in not only determining the specific potency for an individual, but also in transmitting (broadcasting) it. The techniques in using energy pendulums are different to those techniques in using the more general pendulums.

THOUGHT  -  What properties does the pendulum have?

THOUGHT  -  Energy follows thought.

Most people have at one time or another, without knowing it, done some form of radionics. Anyone can do it with the right approach and some practice. If you have ever thought of an activity, such as a sporting event, a job interview, a date or a holiday, how do you think the final result happened? By chance? No, you made it happen by preparation and going through with it. Or not, whatever the case may be. There was a thoughtform to start with. Positive or negative or even neutral. Did you write something down or make a plan? Did you imagine or visualise the end result? Your self-talk did the rest. Did you put a ‘hex’ on someone? Were you positive or negative? Why? Did the final result enhance your existence or that of someone else?

Now we take it a step further and use the mind positively to reach a goal. How? That takes energy and some search for answers.

This 'How To' guide is a brief introduction to pendulums and dowsing, allowing a beginner to get some insights into basic pendulum use and to be able to make a choice of a suitable pendulum. There are many methods and personal preferences as well as theories and explanations. You can make up your own mind by research and experience. We may recommend some dowsing and related books throughout this site.

A weight on the end of a thread can act as a pendulum .......

How to use a pendulum?

1) The yes/no technique

2) Chart and map dowsing techniques

3) Energy dowsing

i) Analysis

ii) Treatment

1) The yes/no technique is most common in pendulum dowsing and may be achieved in several ways.

See examples (a) and (b).

Example (a)

Very simplistically, these are some of the motions which a pendulum could trace and can be seen to be as follows. Whilst these look obvious, the descriptions are written below

A. Clockwise or circular right

 B. Counter-clockwise or circular left

C. Diagonally left

D. Side to side

E. Diagonally right

F. Back and forth

Hold a pendulum cord between thumb and forefinger about three to four inches above the pendulum and let it hang more or less motionless. Ask a  question mentally for a reaction to the answer 'yes'. Wait a few seconds for a reaction, which could be one of the motions described above.

Again, let the pendulum  hang and mentally ask for a reaction to the answer for 'no'. The pendulum should move but in another manner or  direction. The fingers and arm should not be held rigidly, and any small arm or finger movements should be  allowed so that the pendulum will move! Some people have a very noticeable twitch or spasm in the arm, sending the  pendulum into motion immediately. The idea is for any movement to be  unconscious and not directly  influenced by wishful thinking.

Various reactions will be obtained by different people, male or female, as well as left or right handed, and you should be able to establish your own convention. For example, some  people find A to be yes and B to be no or vice versa. Others find yes to be C and no to be E, or vice versa. Any combination of these examples can do. You will find your own natural preferences, which may be best for  you as, after all, it is the accuracy of  results that count. For those using a pendulum for the first time, don't worry if you do not get a consistent reaction or no reaction at all. A  little practice will find results,  but don't force it. There are programming  techniques also, but for the beginner who doesn't seem to be able to get started, it could be that some de-programming may be called for! That is, allow it to happen without fear or prejudice. Look at it this way. If you are hungry, you know it and you know your body is telling you  something, and there is nothing supernatural about it. The same with the pendulum, it is purely a matter of perception and a hunger or need for  information.

Example (b)

Draw a semi-circle of about three inches radius and divide it into two segments by drawing a vertical line and a  horizontal line through the centre. Inside the left segment write the  word "no" and the minus sign (-), and inside the right segment write the word "yes" and  the plus sign (+).

Hold the pendulum  above the centre resting the elbow on the table if you feel more  comfortable that way. Propping up the elbow does not mean that the pendulum will remain still, it depends on the arm being firmly  relaxed, not tensed.

Ask the pendulum to swing in the direction of "yes" and give it a start in the forward direction  if you have to. Do the same for "no". This method has the effect of programming the pendulum/you to accept the  layout as described. Similar methods are taught by various  dowsers and again it is best to do what is  comfortable and feels right. A certain amount of intellectualism will happen with any method used but once the mind accepts the intent then the programming is complete and work can go  ahead. Glance away briefly if it doesn't move as sometimes staring at  the pendulum keeps it in one place. It is like riding a bicycle, once you move and get the feel of it, you just  know and do it automatically. Have fun but avoid trivia! We do not  advocate the pendulum taking over your life, but use it wisely as a tool for learning and transformation.More on that at a later date.

The vertical line can be used to be programmed for "neutral", waiting for  an answer if one  prefers to start with the pendulum swinging, as it will then "kick" over to the right or to the left. The horizontal line can be used to program the "don't know" response. Chart dowsing  uses  this type of technique to good advantage. You just change into whatever mode is suited for the work at hand with a suitable pendulum.

THOUGHT  -  Life is to experience.

Choosing a pendulum

The methods of choosing a pendulum are varied and there is a simple rule of thumb to observe. That is - whatever works for you is the best for you - as, after all, it is results that count. Having said that, for some forms of energy dowsing one would require a pendulum which is  made of a particular material, in a specific shape or form, and well balanced for a smooth action.

Choose a basic or general dowsing pendulum for general dowsing, e.g. yes and no questioning. This could be a conical  or rounded pendulum. Both are precision made to have a good feel in use and have pointed ends to enable them to be  used also for dowsing over charts and for map dowsing. These are made of brass, a material which is more neutral than say, wood, glass or crystal. (A crystal pendulum is in effect another energy device and will resonate  ... according to the structure ... which can get in the way, or affect some forms of dowsing)

Energy dowsing can take the form of colour therapy and chakra balancing with a view to healing on various levels. Choose  the Isis pendulum which is also good for beginners. The Isis pendulum generates  white and all colours in the white  light spectrum. It is self-cleansing by virtue of the white light emanations.

The Karnak pendulum is excellent for tuning in to mental questioning and analysing.

The Osiris pendulum should be used with caution, and certainly not by those unfamiliar with the strong energies it can emit. It is not  intended as a beginner's pendulum but for experienced healers and therapists.

Analysing energy fields can be done with any pendulum  if the right questions are formulated, but  with energy pendulums there is no questioning as such, but rather statements. Responses are various and the answer is within the total response cycle. (The responses of the pendulum are effectively the treatments as well, but more about that later).

The Universal Pendulum (U.P.) is most efficient and effective for this type of dowsing and healing. It is very easy to learn to use the  U.P. and those new to pendulums find it surprisingly accurate. This is because they have no preconceived attitude towards how a pendulum works or should work. Experienced therapists in other fields of healing have put the U.P. to great use. There is a video  cassette to assist those unable to attend a workshop.

The Mermet pendulum has also proved to be a most effective tool for homoeopaths since the cavity within the pendulum can be  used for transmitting remedies of any  potency.

Note. There is no doubt  that some precautionary measures are needed to prevent the drain of energy at the expense of the dowser, for instance in healing and  water divining. Some information will be  added soon on that topic. It is also wise to check actually and intuitively, if any intervention is for the highest good of all parties. Permission should be sought otherwise it could be an unwanted intrusion or invasion of someone’s space. (Even if they are not present!)

Ba'yit/Ahed (An agreement between a Sheikh and his mureed)

$
0
0
What it is:
Ba’yit or Ahed is a solemn pledge. It hallmarks an agreement between the Sheikh and a spiritual aspirant. That is, in order to gain Allah ’s pleasure the aspirant agrees to receive and obey the guidance and instruction from the Sheikh. And the Sheikh kindly accepts to direct him accordingly. This is the reality of ba’yit.

How it is taken:
Outwardly it takes the form of holding the hand of the Sheikh, who recites some Quranic verses, hadith and ask the mureed to repent for all previous sins and make a solemn affirmation of not committing them ever again. Also he announces that the aspirant is now a member of xyz Sufi order. Then he instructs him accordingly.

Why it is taken:
Indeed, this outwardly form of ba'yit is filled with barakah. Being a Sunnah (ghair muakkidah) and the practice of saintly elders it has its own benefits. It is not an ordinary thing. However, without the above mentioned reality it is a form devoid of soul. History of religions is evident of the fact that with passage of time and spiritual decline means become goals by themselves and realities are ignored. Rituals and ceremonies eclipse the real meaning intended. Same has happened with Tasawwuf. Ba'yit has become a ceremony. It is considered to be a goal by itself. This is not the correct teaching of Tasawwuf. Essential thing is continuously receiving instructions and acting on them as guided. For this reason, in our tariq, ba’yit is deferred initially. The instruction and guidance starts immediately. However, the ba’yit is as a principle is delayed till the Sheikh is satisfied that the individual is sincere to follow the path and is doing so to the best of his ability. And, moreover, the potential mureed understands and agrees with the methodology of the Sheikh and himself acknowledges increasing benefit from these instructions. This time period may be days or years. The best deal is: Try before you buy. Once the potential mureed sees himself grow spiritually, the real importance of ba’yit will become evident to him.

Qualities of a Successful Mureed (follower)

$

In order for a mureed to be successful he/she should adopt 20 key characteristics and qualities. These are as follows:

1. Repentance
Repent sincerely for all those things, which are out of bounds of Shariat. Whichever stage the mureed reaches he must bring repentance along with him because at each stage one commits comparative amount of sins. Repentance is a very strong root.

2. Contentment
Be content and happy upon living on bare necessity. All extra wealth in your possession should be distributed to those in need or put in the khidmat of one?s sheikh to utilise the wealth on his mureeds.

3. Isolation
Often remain in isolation and keep your heart distant from those immediately surrounding you. I.e. do not let your heart incline towards family and friends.

4. Firm & Correct Belief
Believe firmly in your Sheikh as being the best for you. Believe all that which is required from you in Islam. Stay away from bid?at and all those things which are outside shariat.

5. Abstinence
Abstain from all things which are not lawful. Be very careful about what you eat and what you wear. Do this enthusiastically and do not discontinue this once you?ve started.

6. Patient
Be patient upon all orders given to you by your sheikh and be patient upon all difficulties that approach you on this path.

7. Resilient
Do not be soft with your Nafs. Constantly battle with it and never fulfil its wish. Nafs is like a hungry lion. If you feed it, on having gained strength it will eat you too.

8. Brave
Be brave in fulfilling all orders in Islam and all orders given to you by your Sheikh. Do not be afraid of shaitan(Satin) or nafs in their tricks to frighten you away from this path or away from fulfilling any order given to you.

9. Generous
To be successful in this path one must be generous. Miserliness forms a very thick Veil between yourself and your goal. One must be ready to give away your life and wealth in this path.

10. Just
Fulfill everyone's rights according to their prominence. Be fair with everyone and let no one have to take justice from you.

11. Truthful
Be steadfast in telling the truth. Be truthful to Allah and to Allah's creation and stay well away from lies and deception. Do not do anything secretively and whatever you do, do it solely for Allah.

12. Knowledgeable
Learn enough to spend your daily life in the way shown to you by Islam. Abstain from all that knowledge which does not benefit you in all walks of life.

13. Humble
Be humble in each and every stage that you attain, as this is the key to success.

14. Sharp-witted
Be sharp witted and alert in doing Khidmat when following your sheikh. Be ready to carry out all orders that your sheikh utters. And do not be afraid, even if you have to give your life.

15. Reprehensive
Be constantly reprehensive upon one's own nafs. Think one-self as being the lowest of all mureeds. Whatever deed one performs one must always think it as being negligible. Even if one does not commit many sins, one must think oneself as a sinner.

16. Intelligent
One must be wise in performing all duties for his sheikh with the necessary aadabs. Do not use your own intelligence to object to or criticise any of your sheikh's actions, speech or commands.

17. Respectful
Read and act upon all the etiquettes outlined and respect one's sheikh to the best of your knowledge.

18. Mannerly
Be cheerful and pleasant and approach all with good manners. Be polite and courteous to your fellow mureeds. Do not put your workload upon anyone else. Keep away from pride & jealousy and always be happy & ready to do your sheikhs khidmat.

19. Submissive
Place yourself in front of your sheikh like a dead body is placed in front his washer before burial. i.e. let your sheikh do your islah as he pleases. Do not wish to have your islah done in the way you want.

20. Entrusting to one's sheikh
Never leave the company of your sheikh even if your sheikh has asked you to leave a thousand times. Accept all trials and tribulations that come to you and do not become disheartened.

THE NECESSITY FOR A MURSHID

If a person wants to learn any art form or gain knowledge/science he will seek help from an expert in that field. Knowledge of Allah Ta`ala`s Zaat (Being) is the most difficult secret in the universe. It can only be achieved with the help of its experts, the Awliya Allah. Only these people can be accepted as Murshids (guides). The following quotation define the need and guidance of a Murshid.

Ghausul A`zam, Hadrat Sheikh Abdul Qaadir Jailani (radi Allahu anhu) brings home the necessity of a Murshid in a beautiful metaphor. He says: "The heart is the plantation for the Aakhirah (Hereafter). Sow the seeds of Imaan in your heart. Irrigate, fertilise and mature it with regular good deeds. If there is kindness and energy in the heart it will be fertile and an abundant harvest will result. Should the heart be harsh and contemptuous, the soul becomes infertile and barren and no crop will be able to grow. Learn this art of farming by its farmers/experts, the Awliya Allah. Do not think your opinion to be sufficient. Our Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) says, `Seek help in every field from an expert in that field`". (Al-Fath-ur-Rabbani, pg. 202)

Ghausul A`zam (radi Allahu anhu) said: "Arrogance, hypocrisy, egoism, are all arrows of Shaitaan aimed at your hearts. One should formulate a strategy to defend oneself from this attack. The correct strategies are explained and demonstrated by the Mashaa`ikh (Guides). You should heed to their commands and act on them. They will guide you on the path of Allah since they have already travelled on this path. Ask their advise on matters relating to the Nafs (carnal desires), cravings and other weaknesses because they have also suffered their consequences and are well aware of the dangers and harms of evil desires. They have battled these over a long period of time and can confront, control and defeat them". (Al-Fath-ur-Rabbani, pg. 150)

THE ONE WITHOUT A MURSHID HAS SHAITAAN AS ONE`S MURSHID

Murshids are two types:

A. Murshid Aam (General Guide,) and
B. Murshid Khaas (Specific Guide)

The Murshid Khaas comprises of the Sheikhul Ittisaal and the Sheikhul Isaal.

The Murshid Aam comprises of the Quran, Hadith, the writings of the Jurists, the Murshids, authorities of Tasawwuf, the writings of the scholars, and the writings of the people of guidance and righteousness. The guide of the general public is the Kalaam (Speech and Writings) of the Scholars. The guide of the Ulema or Scholars is the writings of the Imaams of Fiqh. The guide of Imams of Fiqh is the Sunnah and Hadith of Nabi (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). The guide of the Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) is the Quran/Speech/Revelation of Allah.

From this it can be seen that the Murshid Aam is an absolute necessity. A person without guidance of both the Murshids, i.e. Khaas and Aam is under the reign of Shaitaan. It is in this sense that A`la Hadrat, Moulana Ahmed Raza Khan Barelwi (radi Allahu anhu) writes that Sayyiduna Baayazid Bustaami`s (radi Allahu anhu) declaration in "Awaariful Ma`arif" that those without a Murshid (Khaas and Aam) have Shaitaan as their guide. (Fatawa Afriqa, pg.124)

[Taken from: The spiritual guide and the seeker, Abdun Nabi Hameedi Attari]

Ibn ‘Ajiba says:

In the path of Sufism, keeping the company of others (suhba) is of tremendous consequence in the journey to Allah, in accordance with the wont of Allah Most High and His wisdom. Some have even said, “Whoever has no sheikh [but travels the path alone] has the Devil as his sheikh.” Another has said, “A person is like a [fruit] tree growing up in the wild: if not trimmed and pruned, it becomes a scrub.” And Abul ‘Abbas al-Mursi has said, “Whoever has no sheikh in this matter is not to be rejoiced over”
[Iqadh al-himam, 95–96]

In the Quran Shareef:

Siparah 15, Surah Bani Israel (17), Verse number 71

Yauma Nad'oo kola onasim bi imamihim

Ala Hazrat Azeemul Barkat Rahmatullahi 'alayh translate this part of the Ayat-e-karima:
The day when we shall call every people with their leaders
[Kanzul Iman]

Tafseer by Mufti Ahmad Yaar Khan Rahmatullahi 'alayh:
From this we learn that we should make a pious person our leader in the world, through taqleed in Shariah and bai’at (taking mureedi) in the path of Tareeqat (mystic way of life) so our end will be with the pious. If he does not find a pious leader or guide then his guide would be Shaitaan. In this verse there is ample proof for Taqleed, Bai’at, Mureedi.

Signs of fake Peers(The people who are having no relation with sufism).

Some signs of fake peers which are common in todays society
He picks and chooses which to follow from shariah.

He asks for money under the pretext of using it for good purposes which in reality is for his own purposes.

He makes people whom he has trapped to swear on the Qur'an Shareef that they will continue to support him financially, whatever be the condition.

He goes further in lying about dreaming of Sayyidinah Rasoolullah Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam telling him to tell so and so to swear on the Qur'an Shareef that they will continue to give money to him to help the poor.

Despite knowing that a person is already Mureed to a Shaykh, he compells that person to take

bai'at from him and further says to the person that his peer is fake and his bai'at is null.

He shamelessly says that apart from his lineage all other Pirs are weak without sparing the Kaamil One.

He proudly boast about his blood lineage and qualifies other Shuyukh as inferior.

He lies and says that one can safely lie without condition for the sake of Islam,He also believes in reincarnation.

He enjoys the company of women.

Things To Do On Laylatul Qadr

So valuable is this Night of Qadr that the Quran devotes a special surah to
it “Lailatul Qadr is better than a thousand months” [97:3]
This one night surpasses the value of 30,000 nights. The most authentic account of the occurrence of the Night indicates that it can occur on any one of the last ten, odd numbered nights of Ramadan, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29.
We should strive to stay up at least on the odd numbered nights of the last ten days. If we can't manage that then let us pray at least on the 27th night. If one prays on all of the last odd numbered nights then there is more chance that one may have caught this most powerful night and the reward is of over 83 YEARS OF WORSHIP! Subhanallah! Most will not even live upto that age!
It is a night that we CANNOT miss out on so here is how we can maximise this blessed night:

 1. Recite the Qur’an abundantly

Az-Zuhri used to say upon the coming of Ramadan, “It is only about reciting the Qur’an and feeding the poor.”
Abdur-Raziq said, “When Ramadan came, Sufyan Ath-Thawri would give up all acts of (voluntary) worship and devote himself to the recitation of the Qur’an.”
Laylatul Qadr is the night the Qur'an was revealed so we should spend much of the night reciting it for we will gain 700 hasanah or more by reciting each letter!

 2. Strive to gain forgiveness

One should strive and do their utmost to gain the mercy of Allah especially in the odd numbered nights of the last ten days. If one leaves Ramadan without gaining the mercy of Allah then surely they are the most unfortunate ones and are the biggest losers in this world and the next.

The main Dua for Laylatul Qadr is the following:
Aisha (Ra) said: “I asked the Messenger of Allah: 'O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?' He said: 'Say: O Allah, You are pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.' “
"Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'annee" (Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Tirmidhi).

 Gaining forgiveness on laylatul Qadr

Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim).
We should sincerely repent for past and present sins with the intention of not repeating them again and ask of Allah Ta’aala to help us prevent ourselves from doing them again and ask Allah to perfect our characters and to help us improve ourselves in everyway possible.

 3. Do much Superogatory Prayers (Nafil)

Rabi'ah ibn Malik al-Aslami reported that the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam said: "Ask (anything)." Rabi'ah said: "I ask of you to be your companion in paradise." The Prophet said: "Or anything else?" Rabi'ah said: "That is it." The Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam said to him: "Then help me by making many prostrations (i.e., supererogatory prayers)." (Muslim)
The Prophet peace be upon him said: “Whoever draws near to Allaah during it (Ramadaan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.” – Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887.
In this most blessed month of Ramadhan all good deeds are multiplied by 70 or more. Every Nafil one prays one will gain the reward of a Fard Salaah and every Fard Salah is the reward of 70 Fard salaah. Subhanallah what other time of the year is this possible? NONE! So let us make the best of these precious seconds and pray as many Nafil prayers as is possible!

Here are some Nafil prayers we can pray on Laylatul Qadr:

 1. Two Rakat after performing Wudu (Ablution)

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): “Tell me about the best of your deeds (i.e. one which you deem the most rewarding) since your embracing Islam because I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise.” Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: “I do not consider any act of mine more rewarding than that whenever I make ablution at any time of night or day, I perform Prayer for as much as was destined for me to do.” (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)”

 2. Tahajjud
 Imam Abu Sa'id al-Khadimi said,
"There is scholarly consensus (ijma`) that among the best of virtuous acts is the night vigil prayer." [al-Bariqa al-Mahmudiyya Sharh al-Tariqa al-Muhammadiyya]
The scholars derived the following in regards to Tahajjud from the Qur'an and prophetic hadiths:
 1. The minimal night vigil prayer is 2 rakats. [Hindiyya, quoting Fath al-Qadir]
 2. Its optimal recommended amount is 8 rakats, because this was the general practice of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him, his family, and companions). [Hindiyya, quoting Fath al-Qadir]
 3. Lengthier recitation is superior to a larger number of rakats prayed. [Durr al-Mukhtar, Radd al-Muhtar]
 4. It is recommended to start the night vigil with two short rakats, because of the hadith of Abu Hurayra that the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "It you get up for night prayer, start with two short rakats." [Muslim, Ahmad, Abu Dawud]
Ibn Mas`ud (Allah be pleased with him) was asked, "I cannot pray at night." He said, "Your sins have prevented you."

 4. Increase in Dhikr (Rememberance of Allah)

We should glorify Allah night and day, especially in the last odd nights.
Here are some easy and very beneficial Dhikr and glorification we can do throughout the last ten odd nights:
 1. Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'annee
 2. Subhanallah
 3. Alhamdulillah
 4. Allahu Akbar
 5. Laa ilaha ilallah
 6. LA HAWLA WA LA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH
 7. Asthaghfirullah
 8. SUB-HAN'ALLAH HIL AZEEM WA BI-HAM'DIHI,
9. Subhāna-llāhi, wa-l-hamdu li-llāhi, wa lā ilāha illā-llāhu, wa-llāhu akbar. Wa lā hawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi-l-aliyyi-l-azīm
 10. Lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamdu yuhyi wa yumītu wa huwa ḥayyu-llā yamūtu abadan abada, ḏū-l-jalāli wa-l-ikrām, biyadihi-l-khayr, wa huwa alā kulli Shay-in qadīr
 Or the shortened version:
 11. Laa ilaaha illal-laahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shay-in qadeer
One can also recite the durood that one recites in one's Salaah or a Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallim

 5. Make much dua

We should be very busy in Dua as much as we can especially in the last 10 odd numbered.
Allah Almighty says in the Qur'an:
"When my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on me." [2:186]
The place of duaa is so high to Allah, that the Prophet(Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallim) had said: "Nothing is more honourable to Allah the Most High than du`a." [Sahih al-Jami` no.5268].
Almighty Allah also said: "The most excellent worship is du`a." [Sahih Al-Jami` no. 1133]
Therefore let us devote much of the night of Qadr in dua asking of Allah for his mercy and forgiveness for all of our past sins and making firm intentions to Allah that we will change for the better and strive to become closer to him as well as make our deen a FULL part of our lives and not just a little part of our life as Allah says:
Allah tells us In the Qur'an to enter fully into our deen and not partly:
O believers enter into Islam completely and do not follow the footsteps of Shaitan, surely he is your clear-cut enemy.... (Surah Al-Baqara, Ayah 208-210)
So then will we not make Islam a FULL part of our lives? This is our best opportunity and if we don't take it and death comes to us then surely we will regret it for ETERNITY!
And Allah knows best in all matters

Mandarjah baala Ahaadees say chand batain ma'aloom huween.
Aanhazrat Sallallah Alahi Wasallam kay zamanay may hi qabeelah Bani Saayid kay logoon nay apni biwiyoon ko masjid may aanay say rokna shuru'o kardiya tha - Aanhazrat Sallallah Alahi Wasallam nay in khawandoon ko nahi daanta balkay Aurtoon ko gharoon may namaz pardhnay ki targheeb di - Hazrat Aayishah Razi Allahu Aunha , Hazrat Abdullah Bin Masood Razi Allahu Aunhu aur Hazrat Abdullah Bin Umar Razi Anhuma diger Sahaba Kiraam ki moujoodgi may sakhti say masjid say aanay say roktay thay k ab dour fitnay ka agaya hay aur kisi Sahabi nay in ki mukhalifat nahi ki na in ko mukhalif e Hadees kaha.
Ab germuqallideen jo is baat per zour detay hain k Aurtain masaajid may aakar jama'at , jumma'h , eidain may shareek hoon , shayid ye loog apnay imam masjid ko Rasolullah Sallallahu Alahi Wasallam say ziyada muttaqi auq parhezgaar samajhtay hain aur apni masjid ko Masjid e Nabvi say ziyada muqaddas khayaal kartay hain aur apnay aaj kay zamanay ko Kherul Quroon ya'ani "Dour e Nubuwwat aur Dour e Sahabb" say behtreen zamana khiyaal kartay hain aur apni Aurtoon ko Sahabiyat Razi Allahu Aunhuma aur Tabiyaat Rehmahullah say ziyada afeef aur paak baaz jantay hain - ager ye nahi hay to phir jis kaam ki Hazrat Sallallahu Alahi Wasallam nay takeed nahi farmayi , Sahaba Kiraam Razi Allahu Aunhum nay shadeed mukhalifat ki aap loog is ko itna Mou'kkad kiyo samajhtay hain k is per Fuqaha'a ko gali galoch denay tak ko jayiz samajhtay ho aur musalmanoon ki masaajid may fitna daaltay ho - halaankay fitna daalna qatal say bhi bardha gunaah hay.
Bataayiye is fahaashi aur auryaani kay dour may is baat ki guarantee germuqallideen hi day saktay hain k Aurtain khushbo , Powder aur bhardkeela libaas istema'al na karain gi aur nigaah nechi rakhain gi aur rastay may Fussaaq aur Fujjaar ki nigaahain bhai nechi rahain gi.
Algarz Fuqaha'a nay fitnay ki wajah say Aurtoon ko masaajid may aanay say roka hay - fitnay ka aehsaas jub Kherul Quroon may hi hogaya tha to is dour may fitnay ka inkaar kon kar sakta hay aur kis Aayat aur Hadees may hay k fitnah ki haalat may hi Aurtoon ko masjid may janay ki takeed hay?
YA ALLAH !! Sahi baat ko samajhna aur us per amal karni ki toufeeq ataa farma aur zid ta'assub or hatdharmi say hamain bachaa.

It is advisable for doing any thing all making important design one should do Istekharah
Istekharah (Divination)

"Istikhara" means to seek guidance from Allah, meaning when one intends to do an important task they do istikhara before the task. The one who does the istikhara is as if they request Allah Almighty that, O my Owner the Knower of Unseen guide me if this task is better for me or not?

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah :The Prophet (Sallal Laho Alaihi Wasallam) used to teach us the way of doing Istikhara, in all matters as he taught us the Suras of the Quran. He said, "If anyone of you thinks of doing any job he should offer a two Rakat prayer (First pray two cycles of ritual prayer [rakaat] such that in the first rakat after Surah Fateha (Allhamd …) recite Surah al-Kafirun and in the second rakat after Surah Fatiha (Allhamd…) recite Surah al-Ekhlaas and after finishing prayer [salam] then recite this Dua [ "O Allah! I seek guidance from Your Knowledge and with Your Power (and Might) I seek strength, and I ask from You Your Great Blessings, because You have the Power and I do not have the power. You Know everything and I do not know, and You have knowledge of the unseen. Oh Allah! If in Your Knowledge this action (which I intend to do) is better for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then make it destined for me and make it easy for me and then add blessings [baraka'] in it, for me. O Allah! In Your Knowledge if this action is bad for me, bad for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then turn it away from me and turn me away from it and whatever is better for me, ordain [destine] that for me and then make me satisfied with it."]) other than the compulsory ones. Ref.: Bukhari Sharif.
